I don't even feel like touching any old Gears games right now as a content creator, because E-Day is so mechanically different, it would just set me back and make learning E-Day harder.

Xbox Series X’s, PC’s, controllers, monitors, keyboards, games, in-game purchases, etc… Can serve as tax write offs that can be deducted from your taxable income. Gears E-Day for me is a great opportunity to write off close to $10,000 in business expenses this year.
Just some context behind my take: I’ve been creating Gears content since Gears 3, built a channel to 40K+ subscribers and millions of views, I’m a business owner, and professionally I work with customers at one of the largest tech companies in the world. So when I look at E-Day, I’m looking at it as a Gears veteran, content creator AND from a business/marketing perspective. I want the game to succeed. I just think creators should be realistic about what the numbers are actually showing.
Gears E-Day WILL die off. That doesn’t mean the game will be dead, but the launch hype and increased viewership won’t last forever. Nothing we’ve seen so far suggests Gears is suddenly becoming a massive mainstream game. Creators should take advantage of the increased attention while it’s here and use E-Day as an on-ramp to other content. Don’t just ride the wave. Use it to build an audience that stays after it.

I created Gears YouTube content from 2014-2022 through several Gears titles & obtained millions of views and 40,000 subscribers purely off gameplay and personality. I think E-Day will likely have some buzz around it until April/May 2027. Then it likely falls off significantly.
