Venezuela Earthquake Crisis – Support by Fundraising Today ⛑️❤️ Venezuela has been struck by two of the most powerful earthquakes in over a century, measuring 7.5 and 7.2 magnitudes. Already, 1,450 people have lost their lives, more than 3,150 are injured, and over 3,100 families are displaced. The British Red Cross, as part of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), is already supporting the response by helping with search and rescue efforts and preparing to provide clean water, food, and safe shelter, as well as longer-term support. But we need YOUR help to reach more people. Step back in time with Agatha Christie… Join us for What Agatha Did in the Great War — a unique event as part of the International Agatha Christie Festival. 📅 Sunday 13 September 2026 ⏰ 1:00pm – 5:00pm 📍 Torquay Town Hall, Lymington Road, TQ1 3DT This special event offers a rare opportunity to step inside the historic Assembly Rooms at Torquay Town Hall, where Agatha Christie served as a nurse in the Voluntary Aid Detachment for the British Red Cross during the First World War. The afternoon begins with a fascinating panel discussion featuring expert speakers who will explore Christie’s wartime experiences, bringing this poignant chapter of her life vividly to life in its original setting. Following the discussion, guests are invited to enjoy a traditional tea dance with live music. Tea and cakes will be available to purchase, creating the perfect vintage atmosphere.
