🚨 UPDATE FROM TODAY’S PRE-VOIR-DIRE HEARING IN THE YELLA BEEZY CASE Before voir dire, the court heard arguments regarding the defense’s motion for continuance and several issues surrounding witnesses and evidence. The judge GRANTED the defense’s motion for continuance following arguments from BOTH sides. But one of the biggest revelations from the hearing came from the State: ⚠️ An individual who previously provided testimony has since RECANTED. The prosecutor explained that if this individual later takes the stand and testifies differently, the prior testimony could become important for impeachment. Other issues discussed during the hearing included: 🔹 The defense’s request for certified transcripts from the Kewon White trial, particularly because many of the same witnesses may be involved. 🔹 The State acknowledged that it ALSO has a need for portions of that prior testimony, although the prosecutor stated the defense’s need is greater in ensuring Conway receives a fair trial. 🔹 Both sides discussed difficulties securing certain witnesses, including federal employees/witnesses requiring additional federal authorization procedures. 🔹 A Federal Reserve witness was specifically discussed, with BOTH sides indicating an interest in securing that person’s testimony. 🔹 The defense raised issues involving a grand jury witness, cooperation with the federal government, and benefits allegedly received in connection with that cooperation. 🔹 The court also discussed a proposed expert whose testimony would help the jury understand plea/cooperation agreements and the potential benefits received by cooperating witnesses. The judge ultimately granted the continuance and indicated the matter would be short set, with attorneys instructed to work with the court coordinator regarding dates. Then attorneys requested to speak with the judge in chambers, OFF THE RECORD. 👀 But one question coming out of this hearing is impossible to ignore: WHO RECANTED — AND WHAT PREVIOUS TESTIMONY DID THEY RECANT? 🚨⚖️ CLOSING ARGUMENTS | STATE VS. DEFENSE — THE MO3 MURDER TRIAL IS NOW DOWN TO ONE CRITICAL QUESTION After two weeks of testimony, surveillance footage, cell-site evidence, financial records, jail calls, social media, music, witnesses and competing theories, the State and defense have now told this jury what they believe all of that evidence means. And at the center of closing arguments is one word: REMUNERATION. 💰 The State isn’t simply alleging that Kewon White murdered Melvin “MO3” Noble. Prosecutors allege White killed MO3 for payment or the promise of payment—the element they say makes this capital murder. 🔴 THE STATE’S CLOSING Prosecutors asked jurors to keep two questions in mind: “Who does that and why?” The State argued the freeway shooting was an execution and that the evidence, when viewed collectively, shows a murder-for-hire conspiracy. According to the State’s theory: 💰 Markies “Yella Beezy” Conway — alleged financier 🔗 Jerry Johnson — alleged middleman 📍 Devin Brown — alleged setup man 🔫 Kewon White — alleged shooter Prosecutors urged jurors NOT to examine every piece of evidence in isolation. They compared the case to a puzzle: one piece may not tell you what you’re looking at, but when all of the pieces are assembled, the State says only one reasonable picture remains. The State pointed to White’s device being near Jocelyn Jackson’s apartment the night before the murder, the repeated communications between devices associated with White and Brown, the movement away from the apartment after MO3 left, and cell-site/timing evidence placing White’s associated device very near the offense location around the time of the shooting. Prosecutors then pointed to the communications immediately afterward and the later interactions involving White, Brown, Jerry and others. But the biggest fight is the MONEY. The State reminded jurors that it does NOT have to prove White physically received cash if it proves beyond a reasonable doubt that the killing occurred for the promise of remuneration. And that’s where prosecutors returned to Cedric Bradley. Bradley testified that White allegedly told him: “I was the one did that work on that rap nigga on the freeway.” According to Bradley, White also complained about money he was supposed to receive. The State argues THAT establishes the promise. Prosecutors also emphasized Bradley’s testimony that White allegedly described shooting MO3 in the buttocks and argued the autopsy evidence corroborates that detail. The State’s position is essentially: Bradley knew something prosecutors say he shouldn’t have known unless White told him. Prosecutors then stacked that testimony alongside the alleged bounty discussion, the communications between the alleged players, Conway’s $40,000 cash withdrawal on Nov. 20, the subsequent movements of the devices, the Ramona activity and White’s alleged reference to “20 bands.” The State says there doesn’t have to be a video showing someone physically placing $20,000 into White’s hands. Circumstantial evidence is evidence. And prosecutors argue that when everything is assembled, the reasonable conclusion is that White committed the killing for remuneration or its promise. 🔵 THE DEFENSE’S CLOSING Defense looked at essentially the same evidence and told the jury: You proved a murder. You did NOT prove a murder-for-hire. Defense acknowledged the enormous amount of investigative work in this case and even called Detective Eric Barnes an outstanding detective. But then came the line at the heart of their closing: “Even outstanding ones get it wrong.” Defense argued investigators were meticulous when establishing the circumstances surrounding MO3’s murder: Videos. Photographs. Surveillance. Phone records. Forensics. But according to defense, once investigators attempted to establish remuneration, that same precision disappeared. Defense told jurors it became: Predictions. Interpretations. Inferences. Guesses. And defense attacked what it says is the missing arrow in the State’s case: Where is the actual money trail? Detective Barnes acknowledged investigators did not trace the cash. Special Agent Page’s cell-site analysis could tell jurors where associated devices were consistent with being and when they communicated—but NOT what was said during those calls or why the devices were there. Page also could not tell the jury from his phone analysis that White had been paid a single dollar. Defense emphasized there is no surveillance showing Jerry handing White money at Ramona. No recorded conversation saying: “Here is your payment for killing MO3.” And no traced bills connecting Conway’s $40,000 withdrawal directly to cash later recovered from White. Defense also reminded jurors that Conway had a pattern of large cash withdrawals before MO3’s murder, challenging the State’s attempt to make the Nov. 20 withdrawal uniquely sinister. Then defense offered an entirely different explanation for the cash later recovered with White: DRUGS. The jury heard extensive evidence regarding drug activity surrounding Ramona and several of the people involved. White was stopped in Mount Pleasant with drugs, cash and other items previously discussed in testimony. Defense argues the cash—particularly its condition and denominations—was more consistent with drug activity than a freshly delivered murder payment. ⚠️ That remains the defense’s interpretation, not an independently established fact. Defense also attacked the State’s motive evidence involving Yella Beezy and MO3. The 2018 shooting of Conway remains unsolved. The fact that a suspect vehicle was registered to MO3’s security person does NOT establish MO3 ordered or participated in that shooting. Defense also argued rap lyrics, music videos and industry controversy cannot automatically be treated as literal admissions of real-world criminal conduct. Then defense gave jurors alternative reasons why people in this case could have been angry with MO3—particularly the complicated relationship involving Devin Brown, Jocelyn Jackson and Brown’s children. Defense doesn’t have to prove one of those alternatives actually happened. Its argument is that if there are reasonable explanations inconsistent with a paid hit, the State hasn’t carried its burden on remuneration. And defense gave a completely different interpretation of all those frantic phone calls surrounding the murder. The State says: COORDINATION. Defense says: CHAOS. Defense argued the repeated calls could indicate something went terribly wrong and people were scrambling afterward—not necessarily the execution of a carefully coordinated paid conspiracy. And that brings this entire case down to the divide the jury must resolve: ⚖️ THE STATE: Stop isolating every piece. Put the puzzle together. The locations, communications, alleged confession, alleged promise, money and conduct collectively establish murder-for-hire beyond a reasonable doubt. ⚖️ THE DEFENSE: Slow down and examine the arrows connecting those pieces. Association isn’t conspiracy. A phone location isn’t automatically a person. A call doesn’t reveal its content. Cash isn’t automatically murder money. A withdrawal isn’t proof of where the money went. And suspicion isn’t proof beyond a reasonable doubt. And there is another major development: 🚨 KEWON WHITE WILL NOT TESTIFY. White exercised his constitutional right not to take the witness stand. His decision not to testify cannot be used by the jury as evidence of guilt. So the jury will not hear White personally explain the phone movements, the calls, Ramona, the cash or the State’s alleged murder-for-hire timeline. They have to decide this case from the evidence admitted in court and the law given to them by the judge. After everything we’ve heard, the question is no longer whether MO3 was brutally murdered. That is not in dispute. The question this jury must answer under the court’s instructions is whether the State proved Kewon White’s criminal responsibility for the charged offense—including the required remuneration element—BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT. 🚨 BREAKING: KEWON WHITE WILL NOT TESTIFY IN HIS OWN DEFENSE Kewon White has made his decision. He will NOT take the witness stand in the MO3 murder trial. White’s defense addressed him directly on the record regarding his right to testify. The court record established that White understands he has the right to testify or the right to remain silent, and that he has had the opportunity to discuss the risks and benefits of that decision with his attorneys. White ultimately confirmed: He is NOT testifying. ⚖️ This is important: White has an absolute constitutional right not to testify. His decision to remain silent cannot be used by the jury as evidence of guilt, and prosecutors cannot argue that his silence demonstrates guilt. 🚨 DAY 8: DEFENSE ENDS FBI CELL-SITE CROSS WITH THE MONEY QUESTION — “YOU CAN’T TELL THIS JURY MR. WHITE WAS PAID A SINGLE DOLLAR?” Defense just finished cross-examining FBI Special Agent Page — and they ended exactly where this alleged murder-for-hire case keeps coming back: 💰 THE MONEY. Before finishing, defense walked Page through the Nov. 22 Ramona surveillance and phone evidence. Page acknowledged: 📍 Jerry Johnson’s and Kewon White’s devices were consistent with being in the same general Ramona/Britton area around portions of that evening. 📍 Later, the devices separated, with White’s device moving toward the Redbird area while Jerry’s remained around Ramona/Britton. 🎒 Surveillance showed the individual previously discussed carrying a backpack. Then defense asked the obvious question: Do you know what was inside that backpack? Page: “I do not.” Did he see anyone in the surveillance footage giving White money? “I did not see anything of that nature, no, ma’am.” Did Page know the content of any conversation between White and the people seen in the footage? “I know no content of any communication.” 🔥 Defense then connected the timeline to Mount Pleasant. Page confirmed White’s associated device later traveled east from Dallas toward Mount Pleasant, where Page knew an arrest occurred. Defense referenced previous testimony that the backpack was associated with drugs and money recovered in connection with that stop. Page did not independently establish that fact; he said if that had been previously testified to, he had no reason to disbelieve it. ⚠️ THEN CAME THE QUESTION DEFENSE HAD BEEN BUILDING TOWARD ALL AFTERNOON: Defense: “As you sit here right now, you can’t tell this jury or us that Mr. White was paid a single dollar to do anything to anybody.” Special Agent Page: “I can only speak to what was going on with the phones. I have no knowledge of anything beyond the phone transactions.” 🎯 AND DEFENSE DIDN’T STOP THERE. Page confirmed he was provided specific phone numbers and specific dates to analyze, even though records existed outside those dates. Defense asked whether several of these people communicated outside the period included in his analysis. Page: “I do know that there were communications among these parties on dates not included in my analysis.” Why weren’t those communications included? Because those weren’t the dates he was asked to analyze. Then defense asked whether the broader history of how people communicate could provide important context for interpreting the communications being presented to the jury. Page agreed it potentially could, adding: “I would always prefer to have more information.” 🔥 THAT ENDS DEFENSE CROSS OF SPECIAL AGENT PAGE. And I think we can finally define exactly what each side got from this FBI testimony. THE STATE GOT powerful circumstantial location evidence: White’s associated device near Jackson’s apartment for extended periods before the murder. Repeated White/Brown communications. Brown’s device moving into the same general area. White’s device leaving shortly before MO3. White’s device very near the offense location around the time of the shooting. White’s device moving away immediately afterward. Rapid post-offense calls. Brown contacting Jerry. Later movements involving Jerry, Conway and Moore during the State’s alleged payment timeline. THE DEFENSE GOT the limitations: Page cannot tell the jury what ANY of those calls were about. He cannot establish that same-area devices necessarily mean the people met. He cannot turn ordinary tower data into an exact address. He cannot establish why someone traveled somewhere. He did not map everything contained in thousands of records. There were communications among these parties outside the dates included in his analysis. And most importantly for the alleged murder-for-hire theory: 💰 Page cannot testify that Kewon White was paid a single dollar to kill MO3. ⚖️ MY SCORECARD AFTER PAGE: The State’s strongest takeaway from Page is LOCATION + TIMING. The defense’s strongest takeaway is PURPOSE + MONEY. Page can build an extremely detailed map showing what these devices were doing. But the map itself cannot tell the jury WHY they were doing it. And it cannot trace Conway’s $40,000 withdrawal—or any other specific cash—into Kewon White’s hands. 👀 Now watch redirect. Because I fully expect the State to bring this right back to the timing surrounding MO3’s murder rather than allowing the jury to leave Page’s testimony thinking only about what he couldn’t prove. 🚨 DAY 8: DEFENSE ATTACKS THE STATE’S NOV. 20–22 “PAYMENT” TIMELINE DURING FBI CELL-SITE CROSS Defense has now reached one of the most important parts of the State’s timeline: 💰 Markies Conway’s $40,000 cash withdrawal on Nov. 20 📱 Jerry Johnson’s device later appearing in the Frisco area 📞 repeated Jerry ↔ Kewon White calls 📍 Conway + Devarius Moore devices later overlapping in Irving But defense is challenging whether any of this activity was actually unusual. First: THE $40,000 WITHDRAWAL. Special Agent Page confirmed Conway’s device was in the Frisco area on Nov. 20 and had activity at 3:44 p.m. from a tower providing service to the Chase Bank associated with the withdrawal. But Page was careful: He cannot place Conway at the bank from the cell tower alone. The bank record is the separate evidence corroborating the transaction. 🔥 Defense then brought up Conway’s history of LARGE cash withdrawals. Page knew about the Oct. 23 $40,000 withdrawal, but testified he knew nothing about Conway’s September transactions and had not analyzed them. Defense’s point: Is it inherently suspicious for someone to return from traveling and then go to the bank? Page: “Sure. Yeah, absolutely.” Could someone go to a bank for any number of reasons? Page: “Anyone could go to the bank for any number of reasons, I suppose.” And remember: earlier testimony from Detective Barnes established Conway had a pattern of substantial cash withdrawals before MO3’s murder. ⚠️ The defense has now attacked the idea that the Nov. 20 withdrawal should automatically be interpreted as murder-payment money. There is still no traced cash connecting that withdrawal to Kewon White. 🔥 THEN: JERRY JOHNSON + KEWON WHITE On Nov. 20, Page testified devices associated with Conway and Jerry Johnson were both using towers in the Frisco area, including towers serving the area of Conway’s residence. Later, Jerry and White begin communicating. Page described several calls between their devices over approximately two hours. By Nov. 22, there are again numerous Jerry ↔ White calls while their devices move around the Metroplex. At approximately 3:09, the two devices used the same cell tower near the Dallas/Mesquite border. But Page did NOT know what location of significance, if any, was there. Defense raised the Mesquite gun show as a possibility. ⚠️ Page testified he had heard of it but did not know where it was located, so that suggestion has NOT been established by his mapping. 🔥 THEN DEFENSE GOT TO CONWAY + DEVARIUS MOORE. The State previously emphasized that on Nov. 22, Conway’s and Moore’s devices moved into the same general Irving area and used overlapping/same-area cellular coverage. But defense asked Page about their communications BEFORE Nov. 22. Page confirmed: 📱 Conway’s and Moore’s numbers had communicated previously. Were there communications before this alleged payment period? “Yes, ma’am.” Were there several? Page said he couldn’t quantify them from memory, but: “I assume there were several.” 🔥 THAT is the defense point. The State wants the jury to view the Nov. 20–22 sequence as significant: $40K withdrawal → Jerry/Conway proximity → Jerry/White communications → Conway/Moore proximity → additional movements/calls Defense is asking: Were these actually NEW relationships and NEW patterns? Because if Conway routinely withdrew large amounts of cash… If Conway and Moore were already communicating before the murder… If Jerry and others already had relationships and reasons to communicate… Then the State still has to prove why these particular calls, movements and this particular $40,000 belong to a murder-for-hire conspiracy. ⚖️ IMPORTANT: Defense has NOT proven the Nov. 20 withdrawal was unrelated to MO3, nor has it proven the Nov. 22 activity was innocent. But the State also has not traced that $40,000 into Kewon White’s hands. That missing arrow continues to matter. 🚨 DAY 8: DEFENSE WALKS FBI AGENT THROUGH “FRANTIC” PHONE ACTIVITY SURROUNDING MO3’S MURDER Defense just took FBI Special Agent Page minute-by-minute through the phone activity surrounding the time MO3 was killed. And this cross got VERY interesting. 📱 MORNING OF NOV. 11 Page acknowledged numerous calls between phones associated with Kewon White and Devin Brown. There were also approximately 10 calls within about an hour involving Brown and his son’s devices. Defense repeatedly described the activity as “chaotic.” Page wouldn’t adopt that characterization completely, but acknowledged: “That is a lot of phone calls in a relatively short amount of time.” Then we get to the critical minutes. 🔥 AROUND 11:55 A.M. Page testified White’s device had an outgoing call involving an unknown number. Approximately 11 seconds later, an incoming call from Devin Brown to Kewon White went to voicemail. Page said it was possibly because White’s phone was already engaged with the other call, although he could not say definitively. At the same time, timing-advance data showed White’s device moving north and very likely into the area where the crime scene was located. Then MO3 is shot. 🔥 IMMEDIATELY AFTER NOON White’s device begins moving east. And then: 📞 FIVE calls from White’s phone to Brown’s phone in approximately FOUR MINUTES. Defense asked whether something “frantic” appeared to be occurring. Page responded: “There’s something that he is trying to communicate, more than likely.” At least one of those calls apparently went to Brown’s voicemail. But Brown’s phone was busy too. Page described a series of what he called: “super frantic calls” between approximately 12:01 and 12:20. Those included activity involving: 📱 Kewon White 📱 Devin Brown 📱 Jerry Johnson 📱 Brown’s son 📱 additional/unknown numbers Brown also called Jerry Johnson at approximately 12:03. At that point, Jerry’s device was coming north from the Waxahachie/Red Oak area. 🔥 THEN THE DEVICES START MOVING. Page testified that White’s and Jerry’s devices later used the same tower within the same minute. White’s device subsequently moved south. Jerry’s device also had multiple calls with unknown parties — approximately four calls within 12 minutes. ⚖️ HERE’S WHAT MAKES THIS CROSS SO INTERESTING: Defense is the one emphasizing how intense this communication looks. But they’re simultaneously establishing what Page cannot tell the jury. He doesn’t know what White was saying. He doesn’t know what Brown was saying. He doesn’t know what Brown told Jerry. He doesn’t know who some of these other callers were. And he cannot tell the jury whether these calls concerned MO3, drugs, something unrelated, or anything else. But the timing itself is difficult to ignore: White/Brown communicate repeatedly before the murder. ⬇️ ~11:55 — Brown tries White as White’s device is moving into the offense area. ⬇️ MO3 is killed around this period. ⬇️ Immediately afterward — White repeatedly calls Brown. ⬇️ Brown calls Jerry. ⬇️ Multiple devices begin moving. 🔥 The State will argue that sequence fits its alleged conspiracy. Defense’s question is going to be: You know WHEN everybody called and WHERE their phones moved — but can you prove WHAT any of them were actually talking about? And right now, from Agent Page: No. But Page himself called part of the post-offense activity “super frantic.” That quote may be one the jury remembers. 🚨 DAY 8: DEFENSE WALKS FBI AGENT THROUGH HOURS OF WHITE/BROWN PHONE ACTIVITY — “SOMETHING GOING ON” Defense just spent significant time walking FBI Special Agent Page through the phones associated with Kewon White and Devin Brown during the night before MO3 was killed. And interestingly, defense did NOT try to minimize how much these phones were communicating. 📱 CALL AFTER CALL AFTER CALL. From approximately 7:30–9:39 p.m. Nov. 10, White’s device remained in the area near Jocelyn Jackson’s Ledbetter residence while multiple calls occurred. Later, Brown’s device moved from the area of his residence toward the area serving Jackson’s residence. By approximately 9:52–9:59 p.m., the phones associated with White and Brown were both using towers serving that general area while communicating with one another. Brown’s device later moved away. White’s remained. 🔥 Then shortly after MIDNIGHT, the communication starts again. Defense characterized the calls as potentially: “A frantic back and forth.” Page wouldn’t characterize the content, but acknowledged: “Something going on. They are communicating a lot.” Between approximately 12:40–12:53 a.m., timing measurements for BOTH devices were consistent with being at or near Jackson’s residence. By approximately 1:07 a.m., Brown’s device began moving away. By 1:17 a.m., Brown’s device was back in the area of his residence. Defense summarized what the records appeared to show: Phones come together → separate → come back together → numerous calls throughout the process. Page agreed with the general sequence. Then something changes. 📍 3:22–3:42 a.m. White’s device leaves the area near Jackson’s residence. Page was careful: “I can’t speak to what may be going through his mind, just that the phone is moving.” And during that period, defense established there were: ❌ No White ↔ Brown calls ❌ No White ↔ Jerry Johnson calls ❌ No White ↔ Markies Conway calls White’s device eventually returns to the area near Jackson’s residence in the early morning. 🔥 THIS CROSS IS FASCINATING BECAUSE DEFENSE ISN’T REALLY DISPUTING THE MOVEMENT. They’re attacking what the movement means. The records may show repeated calls. The records may show devices converging. The records may show Brown arriving, leaving and returning. The records may show White remaining near Jackson’s area for hours, leaving and later returning. But Page still cannot tell the jury: WHAT they discussed. WHY Brown’s device traveled there. WHY White’s device left. WHAT happened while the devices were near one another. Or whether any of those communications involved MO3, drugs, ordinary activity, or something else entirely. ⚖️ And remember the competing context defense has been developing: Page has acknowledged that 3915 Ramona was described to him as drug-related, and previous testimony has addressed alleged narcotics activity involving some of these locations/individuals. But defense has NOT established that these particular calls or movements were drug-related. That’s the evidentiary fight: STATE: Look at the extraordinary timing and pattern immediately before MO3’s murder. DEFENSE: You can show the jury where phones moved and when they communicated — but you cannot tell them why. 👀 And I think the State is going to have a LOT to work with on redirect from Page’s statement: “Something going on. On the video, the witness described the same individual in a bright-colored jacket exiting the residence multiple times. At approximately 22:17 on the surveillance timestamp, the person appeared to be carrying some type of backpack. Later, around 22:28, the witness again observed what appeared to be that same individual exiting with a backpack over his shoulder. Then the testimony shifted back to Kewon White’s phones. 📱 The witness confirmed that one phone previously associated with Kewon White had been turned off and never returned to the network. But another number associated with White — ending in 8927 — remained active and could be mapped. 🔥 AND THAT DEVICE STARTS MOVING. According to the witness, shortly before 1:00 a.m., the 8927 device began traveling east from Dallas along I-30. By approximately 2:37 a.m., the device was in the Mount Pleasant, Texas area. That matters because we have ALREADY heard testimony about what happened in Mount Pleasant: On Nov. 23, Kewon White was stopped there, and law enforcement recovered cash, firearms, marijuana/THC products, promethazine, a scale, phones and other property. ⚖️ So look at what the State is attempting to connect: Ramona surveillance → individual seen leaving with backpack → one White-associated phone already off network → another White-associated phone remains active → that device travels east on I-30 → reaches Mount Pleasant. ⚠️ Important limitation: The witness is mapping a device associated with White. This testimony alone does not establish who physically possessed that phone during every portion of the trip, nor does seeing a backpack establish what was inside it. But the Mount Pleasant evidence is no longer sitting by itself. The prosecution then pulled up the previously admitted Ramona surveillance footage. Remember: that surveillance system has an approximately 58-minute timestamp offset. After accounting for the offset, the State showed footage corresponding with the period of the phone activity. Minutes later, the phone associated with Devarius Moore moved into that same general area. For approximately seven minutes, the witness analyzed activity across multiple AT&T and T-Mobile towers, all with coverage oriented toward the same general location. His conclusion: The two devices were “very much consistent” with being in the area around that dealership. But again, he stopped short of claiming an exact meeting: He could NOT say the devices were absolutely at the dealership or that Conway and Moore physically met. 🚨 DAY 8: STATE MAPS KEWON WHITE’S PHONE LEAVING JACKSON’S AREA SHORTLY BEFORE MO3 LEFT THE COMPLEX The State’s cell-phone mapping has now reached the morning of Nov. 11, 2020 — the day MO3 was murdered. According to the witness, the phone associated with Kewon White had remained in the area near Jocelyn Jackson’s residence for much of the night. Then the records show movement. 📍 Around 3:22 a.m., White’s device was still near Jackson’s area. 📍 By approximately 3:42–3:53 a.m., it had traveled through downtown Dallas and into East Dallas. 📍 Then it came back. By approximately 5:28 a.m., the witness testified White’s device was again in the area near Jackson’s residence. 🔥 The State also introduced another layer of corroboration. Information extracted from an iPhone 7 contained latitude/longitude location data that the witness said was consistent with the cell-site timing measurements. So the State is now pairing: cell-tower records + timing measurements + location information extracted from a device. Then we get much closer to MO3 leaving. 📱 11:43–11:53 a.m. Phones associated with Kewon White and Devin Brown were communicating. Brown’s device appeared stationary near his residence. But White’s device started MOVING. The witness testified that by approximately 11:49 a.m., the timing measurement made it impossible for White’s device to still be at Jackson’s residence. He testified: “That phone can no longer be at that residence.” Additional activity around 11:50–11:53 a.m. showed White’s device using towers around Loop 12 and US-67, further supporting that it had moved away. And remember the surveillance evidence already presented in this trial: MO3’s gold Honda later leaves Jackson’s apartment complex, followed shortly afterward by the black Camaro the State alleges was involved in the murder.
