Maybe the reason Samus doesn't speak is because every time she does something tragic happens. She says one line in Metroid Dread to the Chozo, Quiet Robe, and a moment later he is killed. She speaks throughout Other M and the game Other M is released. #MetroidPrime4 #Metroid #Samus

@DDSeudonym Early in the game battles were over in seconds in an explosion of attacks. Later in the game I was underlevelled could only spam healing to stay alive. But it felt like in SoM had some control over combat with gameplay.

@DDSeudonym Maybe I didn't understand the combat in trials but it seemed like there was little or no opportunity to try to avoid attacks or strike at the right time. Most battles were just an explosion of numbers and constant spamming of spells from enemies that kept you waiting.

I finally played Trials of Mana or Seiken Densetsu 3 on Collection of Mana. While I enjoyed it, I feel like it is weaker than its predecessor, Secret of Mana, in just about every regard. Does anyone agree or am I blinded by nostalgia goggles?

What is up with enemies counterattacking in FFIV? Are we supposed to realize they are counterattacking or are we supposed to presume their speed is really high? Is not knowing part of the game design?
