If the the goal was to bring in more female customers, they could have either hired a likable female spokesperson that women can identify with or they could have gotten a male whom women find appealing. Instead, they got a male who is building a career on poorly executed appropriation of femininity. They succeeded in offending their present customer base AND those they were hoping to reach.
