Watched “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” A lonely hero. A lonely Spidey. A lonely Peter Parker. It felt fresh, and I really enjoyed it. Until now, Spider-Man films have generally been grouped into self-contained trilogies. With each new iteration, the cast and creative team changed, allowing the franchise to reinvent itself for a new era. This time, however, while both the cast and the story continue from the previous film, everything has been reset. The film focuses on Peter, once again alone, and the loneliness and inner conflict that come with that. It can be seen both as the beginning of a new series and as a direct continuation of the last one. A very clever structure. In the age of social media and its immense power to amplify every opinion, striking the right balance between what filmmakers want to create and what audiences expect has become incredibly difficult. Genuine, heartfelt filmmaking is becoming increasingly challenging. Because of that, this is a film that puts the “Brand” in “Brand New Day” to the test, as part of a blockbuster franchise that simply cannot afford to fail. 🕷️

I know Naspers' history. What's that got to do with the facts in this News24 investigation? By that logic, if Naspers' donations link News24 to the ANC, then AfriForum's investment through an ANC-linked company links AfriForum to the ANC too. For the record, News24 itself reported on Naspers' donations to both the ANC and the DA, more than once.

@BiancavanWyk16 News24's parent company Naspers was a monopoly during apartheid closely tied to the government, it wasn't Ok back then, and now that it is tied to the ANC, it's OK...?

The say the commissioners were barracking her. What? This is a term in debate which means consistently interrupting the person on podium and preventing them from articulating their point. It’s a good thing we watched with our own eyes. She was asked questions like every witness. She failed to answer and she failed to explain. That’s on her not on commissioners. We can’t just allow the integrity of one of the greatest legal minds Jusitice Madlanga to be tarnished or smeared because Adv Johnson did not know the difference between an objective and subjective test. We can’t just sit back and allow black excellence to be attacked because someone unlawfully shared dockets with General Feroz Khan. A witness who is not being truthful or who is being evasive will get more robust engagement than a cooperative witness. This was painfully explained by Adv Adila Hassim when General Sibiya started crying that she was being too hard on him. Don’t blame the commissioners for doing their job. The whole article is still trying to find sympathy for a person who has failed to explain the basis for the actions they took. This is administrative law 101, you can’t take action without jurisdictional grounds. They pretend that there is evidence of a crime in the Mokwele matter. There is none. She applied for a publicly advertised job and had the qualifications and experience. Mechatronics and years supervising a workshop where the technical work was being done. There was no case in the section 27 referral and there is no case in the investigating officers own affidavit. We know because Brian Padayachee was challenged on this all of last week and he conceded key points. The arrest of Khumalo on the Dineo Mokwele matter was clearly unfounded and based on factless paperwork from Fadiel Adams.
