Anime isn't inherently left wing or right wing or centrist or capitalist or communist or whatever. It's a medium with a large amount of artists many of whom have different views.

In fiction evil is often written to have depth and complexity while good is written to be simple and boring. But in real life evil is boring and predictable while good is complex and unique every single time.

Until fairly recently in my life I didn't care much for Loli content. One of the event that pushed me to be more vocal about loli being an inherent part of VTubing worth celebrating and defending is what happened to Riri. Just because she enjoyed loli content, a group of french troll have decided to spread childporn of her in a malicious manner. [...] I understand Riri has been fairly divisive in the past. Controversial even. But I do not see any scenario which would justify childporn of yourself being sent to other people. We can talk at length and moralize about how foolish it is for a minor to take and send nudes of themselves. But I'm sure Riri is more than aware of it now. That part of the story is best use to warn current and future parents. [...] But the important part to make my point here. Is that all in the name of "owning le pdf lolicon". You have a bunch of people who own child pornographic material and are sending it to other people. Which is, actual pedophilia and an actual fucking crime. What kind of mental retardation, such an insulting lack of self awareness does it take for a litteral neanderthal to send actual child porn to someone and calling THEM a pedophile over A FUCKING ANIME DRAWING. Deserve support and the people doing this to her deserve condemnation. For the sake of moral integrity alone. 3) Most anti are deeply unserious people, not to be trusted, as they will engage in pedophilia to "own the loli's". So many anti turn out to be pedophile that at this point most anti are purely projecting. 4) The average French person is the last one you should listen to on "what is considered pedophilia or not". If anything what happened to Riri just reinforces my desire to leave this place. While this is the land of my beloved ancestors, I don't see myself raising a family here, or even marrying. How could I ever call people who are doing all these abhorrent things to Riri "kinsfolk". I can't, I have a conscience. All I see is a woman who used to be a stupid teenager being punished to an absurd degree for being a stupid teenager. And the fact all of this is being justified by "she likes this type of anime drawings" Something in my soul just doesn't allow me to tolerate any of this.
