What happened in Homa Bay must never, ever be allowed to happen again anywhere in Kenya, regardless of the political party, region or leaders involved. People cannot be attacked for exercising freedoms of movement, assembly and expression while those entrusted with internal security simply carry on as though nothing happened. After all this, why is Kipchumba Murkomen still Interior CS, why is Raymond Omollo still Interior PS, and why is the Inspector General still comfortably in office? At what point does responsibility for keeping the country safe actually reach the people at the top?
