Our CEO, Amit Kapoor, recently joined the Disaster Podcast to discuss dry decontamination, responder safety, and the science behind effective contaminant removal. The episode explores dry decon principles, contaminant transfer, FiberTect®, and the B-A-R (Blot, Apply, Remove) method used by responders around the world. The podcast discusses dry decontamination methods, FiberTect®, and the B-A-R method for effective contaminant removal in emergency response operations. Join us for our next free webinar, The Science of Post-Fire Decon, on July 8, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 AM EDT, as we discuss the latest research and practical lessons shaping post-fire decontamination. As we continue to learn more about contamination, exposure risks, and decontamination effectiveness, fire departments are faced with important questions about how to apply this information in the field. During this webinar, we'll discuss how contaminants spread throughout the response environment, what current research says about effective decon practices, and how departments can strengthen their responder protection programs. We'll also explore new decon technologies and how departments can balance best practices with real-world operations. Presented by Reggie Norton, retired Fire Captain and Hazardous Materials Team Coordinator with nearly 30 years of fire service experience. Register today: ow.ly/YaVU50Zglza
Great week at IAFC HazMat 2026. We had full classrooms, great discussions, and a busy booth throughout the week. Thank you to everyone who attended our presentations, stopped by our booth, and shared their experiences and challenges from the field. We appreciate the opportunity to learn from you and discuss practical solutions for today's hazmat and CBRN response environments. Thank you for making it a great event. We'll see you next year!
We're at IAFC 2026 in Baltimore! Come find us at Booth 531. Reggie Norton, Bob Clark, CJ Crum, and Lawson Hembree will be on hand to discuss solutions for hazmat response, from Hybrid Decon with FiberTect and DDS to the RDK, RDK Go-Pack, EDS, and MDK. We'll also be introducing DFD (Dahlgren Fire Detergent), our newest product for cleaning equipment and gear after an incident. We're also proud to be a sponsor of the HazMatNation Party IX this year. The event takes place Thursday, June 18 at 5:00 PM at Luckie's Tavern in Power Plant Live and is free to attend with an RSVP. This year's event benefits the US HEAT Scholarship Foundation, helping hazmat technicians access training and professional development opportunities. In addition to visiting us at Booth 531, you can catch two educational sessions led by members of our team: Thursday, June 18 | 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Mass Casualty Decontamination Presented by Corey Collings and Frank Roberts Saturday, June 20 | 2:15 PM - 5:30 PM Detect, Decon, Verify Presented by Frank Roberts and Luke Sloan of Proengin Whether you're focused on decontamination, mass casualty operations, or responder safety, we'd love to connect.

We're headed to APIC 2026, and we'd love to connect while we're there. Keith Gerhard and Eric Briggs will be on hand to talk infection control, healthcare preparedness, and space decontamination. If those topics are part of your day-to-day responsibilities, we'd love to connect. One thing worth seeing in person is the RDS 3110. It's a portable, push-button fogging system that can be used to treat rooms, vehicles, and equipment hands-free. It's designed to support efficient decontamination without requiring personnel inside the treated space. We'll also have details on our new HCID course, a hands-on training program for healthcare teams preparing for infectious disease incidents and contamination events. If you're attending APIC this year, stop by and say hello.

Are We Decontaminating Pediatric Patients the Wrong Way? In hazardous material incidents, water-based decontamination is still the default, and that approach is exposing a critical gap in how we protect pediatric patients. For children, uncontrolled wet decon can spread contaminants, increase dermal absorption, and introduce hypothermia risk, turning the process into a second hazard. Our systems are built around adult models: - Decon lines assume compliant, ambulatory adults - Timelines assume slower absorption - Protocols prioritize throughput over pediatric physiology - Equipment rarely accounts for caregiver-dependent patients Children don’t fit that model. They absorb faster, deteriorate sooner, and rely on early responder decisions. The wrong approach doesn’t just reduce effectiveness, it accelerates harm. This session is designed for: Fire / HazMat | EMS | Emergency Management | Healthcare | Command Staff Because in a CBRN/HAZMAT incident, the first 5 minutes decide everything. Led by Paul Shaw, a retired US Army Medic who served on multiple Civil Support Teams as a Team Medic and WMD Lab Analyst. Join us for a free 1-hour live webinar on Pediatric Decon and learn what changes outcomes. If you can’t make it, feel free to register anyway. This week on April 1st - Join us for a Live Online Demonstration: Detector Decon. Detection equipment is expensive, sensitive, and mission-critical. Improper decontamination can lead to false readings, long-term damage, or loss of capability. Corey Collings and Kevin Flood will demonstrate practical approaches for safely decontaminating detectors such as the AP4C, other detection devices, and electronics like cell phones and body cameras, using Dry Decon and Hybrid Decon techniques with FiberTect wipes and Dahlgren Decon. This session is part of our Prime Time at First Line series, scheduled later in the evening to better connect with international partners and responders around the world. April 1, 2026 | 9–10 PM EDT Register here: ow.ly/hOs150YAQXz Even if you can’t attend live, we encourage you to register. A follow-up email will include access to the recorded session.
