It means the English invested significant resources into building modern electrical grids and sanitation infrastructure in third world nations that would have never done so on their without the English. For example, do you think the Zulu in South Africa would have developed a nuclear power plant or escom on their own? Because they absolutely wouldn't have, infact, now the ANC has been in power for a couple decades, the electrical grid is collapsing. The Zulu South Africans are too busy stealing the copper from the remaining infrastructure rather than investing into upgrading the grid.

Depending on someone else to feed, house and take care of you is slavery. Being able to take care of yourself despite risk is freedom. You have to acquire food, shelter and water. That takes labor. Assuming someone else will work hard just to provide these things to you, while you do nothing is unrealistic. Society cannot function like that because when there is a shortage of these things, people will not share or look out for you.

That seems to be the strategy. Talk a big game, fix potholes and simple outstanding problems. So people think, "communism isn't so bad, they fixed the potholes" Then when the commies have more support, they'll shift towards their failed ideology of "the state owns everything, the individual owns nothing", pushing marxist policies that always end up with mass death, a bankrupt economy and a brutal authoritarian leader who kills any and everyone who says anything slightly critical of them.

Higher pay doesn't mean as much after state income tax... You won't see that higher pay. It'll be taken from you before you ever see it. The more you make the more they take. Someone making $100k in Texas will see more money than someone making $110k in California. Then add the cost of living and it becomes obvious that people in California aren't as well off as their income may suggest.

The Democrats are a bigger threat because they have no problem facilitating a literal invasion from hostile foreigners into your neighborhood to secure a supermajority and replace you and your community as a constituency. The Republicans aren't much better because they allow it to happen and even use the illegals to keep wages low, while the price of everything increases.

A living wage is a concept commies are incapable of understanding. Here is a simplistic example of a living wage If you are in the artic stranded and need fire wood to survive the night, if you grabbed 2 little twigs for your fire, that wouldn't keep you alive. You haven't done enough work to provide a living wage. You can trade for the wood or find something else to burn but you have to have resources to survive and you have to work or trade for those resources A living wage is a real concept that has a lot of variables in modern society. A lot of people will never be able to grasp the concept Your work has to provide enough value to keep you alive. This is a universal law that cannot be broken despite, what commies believe. We have to work to obtain resources to survive, as an individual and as a society. If your work doesn't provide value or you don't do enough of it, eventually you won't survive because we have to obtain resources to survive.
