Aviation charts plainly show that helo’s are to fly along the eastern shoreline, not the middle, at an altitude not above 200’. This was a low-time crew flying in some of the most challenging airspace in the world. How this relates to the accident is still to be determined.

My opinion- this is not entirely accurate. Professional aviation experience is measured in hours. There are simply not a lot of hours here. None of these crew members would have enough hours to qualify for an airline pilot’s license.

Nope Other than the normal truck traffic to the upper level, the lower tolls (to the left) are also empty. So, there is zero traffic driving into the city at 9am. (3/4)

@DaveAMcCarthy It’s really a thing. I don’t know why, other than it keeps people employed. The upside is that our gas prices are among the best in the US, so it’s kind of a win win. The problem comes when our youth ventures out of NJ.
