@coachdeesmith I can appreciate your point. A good HC isn’t just about making players better. We all learned how to Coach from someone. Expectations should be defined and expected by all coaches. A bad HC and a great staff can last forever while a great HC with a bad staff only a season.

@coachdeesmith If HC hiring/firing is based on results, give him the tools he needs. I’ve seen many programs continue to achieve at a low level who have had the same assistant Coaches for years. Doing the same thing and expecting different results is INSANITY! The HC needs a say in direction!

@CoachKurtHines 100%! Extra work is just that, EXTRA! You want leadership and brotherhood in a program, Share The Pain! We’ve all seen the gifted individual, but less than 3% of high school football players go D1 and less than 2% of D1 football players make it to the NFL. Build the TEAM now!

@fmazey With the transfer portal why would Coaches spend their time on a high school kid that may or may not pan out. They can hit a five star kid up who is riding the bench behind another five star at another school. That kid has already proven he can handle the life and the courses.
