Inequality and Fraud under NHIF are just out of this world. Take for example civil servants. When an ordinary Mwananchi mother delivers at Pumwani, NHIF pays Ksh5,000 for normal delivery and Ksh 17,500 for Caesarian Section Delivery. But for a civil servant delivering at say Agha Khan, NHIF pays Ksh 150,000 for normal and Ksh 400,000 for CS Delivery. Redressing this imbalance will be one of the biggest wins under the Social Health Authoroty

She claimed that the money was earmarked for the construction of a Level 5 hospital for Machakos residents living abroad. It is important to note that this is not the first time Governor Wavinya has faced challenges banking large sums of money overseas. She has previously deposited millions in countries such as Dubai, China, and France, raising concerns about the nature and source of these funds.

Over 100 Siaya County officials, including the governor and his support staff, the speaker and his support staff, CECMs, Chief Officers, Directors and all MCAs are at Pride Inn Mombasa for a convention that will cost millions. This extravagant expenditure comes at a time when hospitals in Siaya lack essential drugs. The budget was already passed. How can such wastage continue?
