@traskjd JD get with the program - it is all about the ability for people to ride around aimlessly or in some cases train for the Tour de France. That is all that matters - business meh, why does that matter we have the money tree (ratepayers)

@traskjd Being the simple old person - probably a "boomer" - how are progressives progressive when all they want to do is duck the city. Progressive is all about taking the city forwards not 20% rate rises

Come on - you can't tell me you haven't thought that at some stage in your career. Re flawed, you obviously haven't travelled in the last 10+ years. What technology do you think e-gates use? Re flawed, name a technology - any - that hasn't had challenges and doing these sort of pilots is how those are identified and ironed out. In this case with the limited info available, I'd suggest the flaw is with the human process. The humans didn't handle the exception.

@arniesean Depends on where you are - near the airport, I'd head to one of the beaches for brunch/lunch. El Segundo is quiet and they have a walking track around that area. Manhattan if you want a few more people. Also a brewery and distillery in El Segundo for afternoon relaxation
