I half agree because another reason was that when lando was of the pace early season he was 1-2 tenths max while oscar was sometimes even 5-6 tenths slower at the endd of 2025 so that also might have made the field look closer but besides verstappen the ferrari drivers and mercs didn’t recover that much compared to the first part of the year

Well i don’t get why it matters already with only a 6 tyre lap offset his pace advantage was around 8 tenths for lando so no it doesn’t matter that their tyre difference wouldn’t have been as big as the dofference between kimi and lando since the problem for oscar was that inherently he was slower and worse tyre management that even kimi so the ultimate delta wouldve been similar even with less of a tyre offset
