People think central banks want transparency, permissionless, and scalability. Central bankers will literally start world wars, kill innocent children, and assassinate heads of state to make an extra 3%. They won’t work with you, and if they have to, they will kill you. This same guy funded SegWit and Lightning. Cory Fields (a dev on SegWit and LN) is a co-author of the US retail CBDC. Ito received funding from Jeffrey Epstein. In an interview from 2017, Epstein said Bitcoin is not a currency but a store of value. Plan accordingly.

The “market has decided” crowd weighs in again about that little asset that has 1/2 the market cap of apple and not even 2x the market value of frequently flyer points. Over 15 years, it has become more expensive and slower to use. But it’s “hard” and secure because people who run non-mining nodes and have no say over the system can observe transactions like a cuck using cheap and old computer hardware. There are 1.3 billion CBDC accounts. None of these existed before BTC. It’s about CBDCs versus all alternatives. BTC adds nothing to the equation other than having been the catalyst for central banks, governments, and traditional finance to innovate.
