In my classroom, I follow many "Building Thinking Classrooms" practices, which rely heavily on students' doing the learning and thinking. This connects greatly with the ideas of constructivism and this powerful statement.

@HoffyJAMClass I'm surprised I have never thought of the conflict between my long-term memory and my students' working memory. Understanding this can allow me to understand my students better and have more patience as they work towards storing information as long-term memory.
