Parents obsessed with obedience rarely consider the possibility that one day the person giving their child orders won't be them. It'll be a boyfriend. A boss. A teacher. A charismatic leader. A manipulative friend. An abusive spouse. Someone with bad intentions who recognizes that your child was trained not to question authority. Don't just teach your child how to follow good leadership. Teach them how to recognize when they shouldn't.
