A super majority of the Big 12 directors (schools) already have almost unlimited discretion to sanction Texas Tech. What’s more, they also have the authority to amend the Big 12 Bylaws at any time to specifically require the immediate suspension or dismissal of any school which knowingly plays an athlete who has admitted to placing bets on his own team.

Good reminder that, Fresh off a 12-1 season, Notre Dame voluntarily suspended their starting QB Everett Golson for the entirety of the 2013 fall semester for cheating on a test. Texas Tech is not only shamelessly allowing a player who bet on his own games to play for their team…they appear to have rigged the local courts to make sure it happened. The opinions and moral posturing of Joey Mac and Texas Tech administration should never be taken seriously.

Notre Dame now appears likely to be ~top 5 in player comp across all CFB. Incredible how NIL rule changes turned a huge weakness into a huge strength for the Irish. Allowing NIL payments truly opened up the floodgates and may have finally fully awoken the sleeping giant.
