Anybody who thinks Joe Biden got 81 million votes in 2020 is on crack. Literally one month before the election Joe Biden trailed Trump by 30 points on enthusiasm to vote. Then he suddenly comes out of the gate with by far the most votes ever in a presidential election? And despite getting so many votes he lost 13 House seats? Because you have millions and millions of absentee ballots that only had one vote on them for Joe Biden and none for the congressional candidates. Because they were fake. That's how you have the most votes ever in presidential history and no coattails.

Puerto Rico Mayors’ Desperate Effort to Keep Stealing American Tax Dollars On June 25, I sent a letter to the inspectors general of DHS, HUD, and DOE warning that several mayors in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico are diverting federal reconstruction dollars away from critical infrastructure projects through illegal construction excise taxes. Now, 12 of these mayors are on a last-minute, desperate lobbying trip to Washington to try and rescue their illegal cash grab from American taxpayers. As background, these mayors are currently taxing the federal government anywhere from five to ten percent of a federal project’s total cost, diminishing the value of recovery funds, raising the cost of reconstruction, and worst of all, defrauding federal taxpayers. Take the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Río Puerto Nuevo Flood Risk Management Project in San Juan as an example. The Corps recently awarded a $1 billion contract to widen a vital channel and strengthen flood protection for the capital city. But under Puerto Rico’s illegal municipal tax and steal scheme, 10 percent of the project will be diverted from flood protection and into local government coffers. Every dollar taken by San Juan on this project is one less dollar that can go toward saving lives during a flood. And the same rule applies to every federal project on the island. The bipartisan Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico (FOMB) has repeatedly warned this tax is an impediment to Puerto Rico’s recovery and violates PROMESA and is against the Fiscal Plan. Yet, the FOMB has waffled on taking the Commonwealth or these Mayors to Federal Court. Why? This is common sense. We at Frontiers of Freedom agree with these responsible federal authorities. Taxpayer funded recovery dollars are meant to rebuild Puerto Rico, not bankroll their local coffers. That raises a larger question: Why do some elected officials remain relatively modest financially while others enter Washington with ordinary wealth and leave worth tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars? Should members of Congress be prohibited from trading individual stocks while holding office? Finally, Joe looks back at the assassination attempt against Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, two years after America came within a fraction of an inch of witnessing a presidential candidate murdered on live television. The federal government’s own investigations have concluded that the attack was preventable. Communication systems failed, the shooter’s rooftop was left unsecured, local radio transmissions never reached the Secret Service, and Donald Trump’s protective detail was not properly warned—even though law enforcement had identified a suspicious individual before Trump took the stage. We will remember President Trump’s extraordinary survival, his historic response of “Fight! Fight! Fight!” and the courage of Corey Comperatore—the firefighter, Army veteran, husband and father who was killed while shielding his wife and daughters from the gunfire. Trump survived despite the system’s failures. Corey Comperatore gave his life protecting his family. Both parts of that story must never be forgotten.
