I'm going to buy GTA 6 day one. Or pre-order the day before it releases to get that freaking 80s pack. I know what to expect with GTA 6. I think it looks good, based on what we have seen so far. At least as good as it can be in 2026, taking all things going on in the industry into consideration. I don't expect it to be like old school games with all the great funny things and dialogue. I know that we don't get that. I'm more interested in having a technical masterpiece for the current technology that was made in a way that money and time aren't an objection. I would prefer having a real physical copy, of course, but I know that modern gaming, even if you have the disc, relies on add-on content, day one patches, and other updates. You'll never get the 100% of the game on the disc these days anyway. It sucks, but it's just reality. That said, those people are crazy who buy digital movies when discs are still available that actually look and sound better and have the whole movie on the disc and are uneditable and censorable for them in the future. Yes, they are anti-consumer. They all are. What's the other option? Not buy anything? I actually do that these days most of the time. I rarely buy a modern game. I easily skipped games like: Spider-Man 2, God of War, God of War: Ragnarok, The Last of Us: Part 2, 007: First Light, Watch Dogs Legion, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Assassin's Creed: Shadows, Far Cry 6, Horizon: Forbidden West, Death Stranding 2, Gears 4, Forza Horizon 6 and will easily skip Stellar Blade: BLOOD RAIN! And the list goes on and on. How many of these did you skip?

My advice to everyone who thinks Rockstar is pissing in your serials, don't buy it. Vote with your wallet. If enough people do that, they'll change real fast. Posting on X does nothing; only actions with your credit card.

@YorchTorchGames I freaking loved Heavy Rain. Most, if not all of these studios that nowadays only make woke slop made great games. Hiring activists and women destroyed them, all of them.

This. And if you really don't want the digital-only future, don't buy anything only available digitally. You need to put your wallet where your mouth is. Almost 100% of people who moan about it still buy GTA 6 digitally day one, if not already pre-ordered it.

I replayed the original last year on PS2, and while it's in some ways more fun than modern games when I started truly to get through it, it became one of the most infuriating gaming experiences for a while. Vice City and San Andreas are way better games. I don't know how the Definitive Edition changes the experience.

@ScyanYT They'll have to start implementing this stuff into their games if they want to keep making graphics more immersive. Human body parts move, and especially fat and muscles jiggle like that, like it or not.

I have said many times, Fortnite, of all games, has decent female designs, way better than Japanese designs recently. Now, if they add this, they are creating an example for the Western developed games on how to do things. Everyone and their cousin's grandmother chase Fortnite's success after all. When ass physics becomes accepted in a big game like this, others will follow. And all it took was to kick useless women and activists out of the industry.

I don't think it has anything to do with anti-consumer policies they made to prevent bad actors from stealing games. And while that is technically an anti-consumer thing to do, it doesn't affect normal law-abiding gamers in any way. They just make sure that if you got your refund, you still wouldn't have the license on your system to play the game. It would be naive to think other platforms don't have DRM checks. The actual reason why the PS5 sales are slowing is the simplest and most logical one. Everyone who wanted one already has one. It's a late generation already, and 93 million units sold. 16 million last year, year five on the market. That's more than either the Xbox 360 or PS3, which is considered one of the most successful console generations for both Sony and Microsoft. Dropping 58% from 16 million is still over 6.7 million units. Xbox, in comparison, fell 12% year on year according to that article. Sounds better, right? But it's 12% drop from what? Microsoft doesn't tell you. But I bet the number isn't pretty. I found a number of ~1.28m units for 2025, 12% drop from that, which is a little over 1 million units. So, PS5, according to these numbers, outsold Xbox consoles almost 16 to 1 in 2025. And Switch 2 sold 19.8m units in its first 10 months on the market. Only 3 million units more as a new system on the market compared to a five-year-old one. Been on the market for only a year or so at this point, of course, there is still interest in buying the product. I want one, but I sure don't buy another PS5. Everything here should be taken with a grain of salt, just like that article, which also reports only the US numbers, but there is a world outside the US. That means I took those percentages from worldwide sales. Also, PS5 16m was the fiscal 2025 number, and Xbox's 1.28m, I have no idea what that represents. It would be naive to think that somebody somewhere didn't buy a PS5 this year because Sony is the most anti-consumer company on the planet, but I don't think normal people outside of this, what we are doing here, even know about these things or care. They just want the new shiny thing. That's why woke games keep selling well. There were also price hikes, as you said. There have been multiple price hikes for the PS5 since its launch in 2020. Three times in the US. Three times in so-called PAL regions (UK, EU, Australia, etc.), two times in Japan, where they also increased the price of accessories like controllers. People are getting priced out. Nothing will ever again reach PS2 numbers unless there's another must-have feature bolted to it, like PS2's DVD player functionality or Nintendo Switch's two-in-one approach. Yes, Switch is the handheld for Nintendo now. Remember when Nintendo said Switch is not replacing 3DS and the handheld line of products? When it became successful for them, they replaced it, and now it's the only thing they sell. That appeals to both home and handheld markets, which aren't directly comparable to the home console-only market. That's like combining the PS2 and PSP numbers. The world is different now; handhelds can play real games now, so that's appealing. Okay, this was a stupidly long post, and pretty much nobody read it through. The point was that there are way more factors for PS5 sales slowing down than just Sony being Sony.

His definitions of woke and censorship are pretty much correct. But how he thinks we are applying it to Evie is not. We want Evie's design to be better, not censor it. Usually when you are censoring something in this context you are trying to make the character look worse. That's what woke left does. Me, and few others want Stellar Blade sequel to be just as great of game as the original was but with Evie as she currently is, it won't be. Yeah, it will still sell well but it would sell better, if they just kept Eve or made another bombshell of a character that all Stellar Blade fans would have approved. Criticizing the design and wanting to see it improved is not censorship! What woke insane left is doing by reporting them to payment processors and trying get it banned is. That's not us! It's them, always them! This Evie war has three (3) sides. Woke left who does exactly you'd expect from them, faux anti-woke who simp for Evie, no matter how ugly she is because it comes from their new favorite developer who can do no wrong in their eyes and people like me who wants it the best it can be and take an objective look at everything.

They have no idea what do with Resident Evil 5 because it has a black female protagonist they would have hard time to uglify. Maybe not, they'd probably uglify any woman with no hesitation these days. But the bigger dilemma for them are the "zombies", it was an issue for them even back in the day. They literally had to make half the zombies white. Adding white people to Africa wasn't a problem back then, but now. It's a very different story. What would they do with the black zombies, can't shoot them, can't remove and replace them with white ones because it's Africa. Make it take a place in some lala land that is not a real place? Then they'd say Capcom don't want Africa representation. They literally can't win with this one with the woke insane left. That's good thing, RE5 will be remembered as the great original game it is, and not some toned down uglifyid remake. I will talk RE6 another time, it's completely different game with different set of issues.

GTA 6 will prove to the rest of the industry that women don't need to look like shit, and you can still sell tens of millions of copies. Yes, GTA is the special case, even if all the women looked like ass in this game, it would still sell tens of millions of copies. Other games, though, don't have that luxury.

I don't think lies were told here. I'm just saying that a perfect-looking woman alone doesn't make a fun game. It has to have everything from nice character design for sure to great writing and story, and being a video game, it has to play well and be a memorable experience. A good sound design and soundtrack don't hurt either. Those are the ingredients of a great and fun game. Any of them missing, especially if it only has one of those things, isn't enough. Famously for the "gameplay is king and the only thing that matters" crowd.
