The same government that 📌 Can’t find water bombers for Canadian forests 📌 Sends $7-8B abroad every year 📌 Gives $125M to Brazil for climate 📌 Charges Canadians a carbon tax for the same reason Canada is literally on fire. Ottawa is literally funding someone else’s environment. The forest doesn’t care about the carbon tax. Canadians in evacuation zones don’t care about Brazil. Canada first. Not as a slogan.🇨🇦 As a policy.

@annanimiddy I think it had to do with Guilbault cancelling all controlled burns, all while allowing logging companies to spray glyphosate, which kills deciduous trees (aka fire barrier) allowing more conifers to grow. And of course lack of funding for water bombers etc…

@candyisyummy333 Liberal govt. They stoped controlled burns, they allow forests to be sprayed with glyphosate (which kills plants that would act as a fire barrier, but allows conifers to grow for logging) And they stopped investing in water bombers. And yes they will blame climate change.
