What the right-wing doesn't get about the Jason Arday is that even if he didn't accomplish anything, he was very accomplished. What matters are his intentions: he wanted to give to charity, he wanted to run marathons, he wanted to be a sociologist. This is what made him a great philanthropist, sportsman, and scholar. Just like you can choose your gender, minorities can now choose what professional accomplishments they have. This is why we held the vigil yesterday and treat him like a hero.
