thats thanks to places like IGN. where they never rate something that could be future profits for them (playing a game early to put scores on release) below 7/10. so, 7/10 became trash 8/10 became mid 9/10 became ok and 10/10 became slightly good to the best thing since sliced bread. although these rating systems have gotten worse since............

@2Wiker @TheDoomDominion @tomwarren so, with the obviously fragile state the studio is now in, they are clearly gonna use doomguy/doomslayer for this entry as well. also, doom 2016 is doomguy, made into doomslayer.......... (flashbacks in eternal, text entires in all 3 games, doom darkages dlc flashback....)

@PaleHorseRAAM only thing missing is the change in gameplay as well. alot of fanboys wanted doom eternal 2. (I am a fan of both games to be clear. although eternal did feel better as a game then darkages. although DLC is more akin to my style of play in darkages).

while yes it is doomer shit, they are probably completely right. BUUUT, there might be an unexpected light at the end of the tunnel. indie games. there bound to be a developer who can do every required wheel to make a doom game that wants to make their own vision in the next 3-4 years. it won't look as good as doom. but considering how much I LOVE ultrakill, they dont need to make it look as good.

she appears good on the surface, but I am highly suspect that xbox is gonna pull the rug out from under us once they think they earned gamers trust back. even as a distant pc (linux) gamer, I hope I am wrong. I like more games in all ecosystems eventually. not more shitty behavior from big companies.

@pebtrocious its turned on by default so they can have a higher 'headcount' on users of the technology, which leads to higher investments. if it costed them more to have headcounts, the feature would suddenly be completely optional and toggled off by default.
