Nobody explains Computer Networking like this… 🌐 • Internet = networks talking to networks • IP address = your device’s identity • DNS = internet’s phonebook • TCP vs UDP = reliability vs speed • Router = traffic controller • Firewall = security gate • Latency = distance + delay Networking isn’t memorization. It’s understanding how data moves. ↻ Repost if networking finally makes sense

☸️ Kubernetes Gateway API - Part 2 Theory is clear. Now, let's understand the practical flow. 🚀 How does a request reach an application in Kubernetes? 🌐 Internet ↓ ⚖️ AWS Load Balancer ↓ 🚦 Gateway + HTTPRoute ↓ 📦 Service ↓ 🚀 Application Pods Each component has a role in managing traffic. Next, I'll break down the architecture, configuration and testing step by step. Understand the flow before writing the YAML #Kubernetes #GatewayAPI #AWS #DevOps

Finally wrote a Bash script to check on my server. Ran it, saw 151Mi of free memory, and thought I had a problem. 😂 Turns out, I was reading the wrong thing. Next up: checking whether my services are running. Small steps. #Linux #DevOps

My first log server's file reads like a diary: "I don tire." "GET IN JOORRR." "After all my stress." "Finally got it right." Been quiet here, but I built a VPC, started Bash, and set up central logging. Filtering the kernel noise nearly broke me. #100DaysOfCode #Linux #Devops

Finished building the 3-tier VPC project I'd only designed on paper before, actually built this time. VPC, three subnets, route tables, security groups, EC2 in each tier, verified over SSH. Full video linked below. screenrec.com/share/DhyndQBA… #100DaysOfCode

Put the access control on my project to a real test today. Logged in as someone with no business in the finance folder and tried anyway, denied. Their own folder opened right up. Small test, but it's basically the job: decide who sees what #100DaysOfCode #Linux #Devops

@phishfinding @certtap Linux+

Zooming out: started this not knowing what SSH stood for. Cleared Bandit levels, built a real EC2 server with an actual team structure, wrestled with permissions, then pushed it to GitHub myself, wrong remotes and rejected passwords included. Feels like real infrastructure now. #100DaysOfCode

Here is the link to the project : github.com/Simplicity-dev… Would genuinely love feedback if you spot something I could be doing better.

My first project is actually live on GitHub. Shared server setup for a fictional events company, permissions organized by department. Took a fair bit of fighting with git remotes and personal access tokens to get here, but it's real and it's mine. Would love a look if you're curious. #100DaysOfCode

Communities for people in tech!

Always wondered why nobody can delete your files in /tmp even on a wide-open shared folder. Turns out there's a specific bit for that. Covered it today along with SUID/SGID. Know where they're going in my project, haven't touched the server yet. #100DaysOfCode

@CodingPuzzle_en That's a genuinely useful way to put it. I'll stick with Bandit a bit longer before jumping over then. Appreciate you actually explaining the why instead of just picking a side.

Question for the DevOps crowd: after OverTheWire Bandit, keep grinding levels or switch to something like SadServers for real troubleshooting? Cleared level 10 last night, wondering if fundamentals are solid enough to make the jump. #100DaysOfCode

If you manage a team of #Linux admins or #DevOps engineers, forward this to them. The #SSH Complete Course covers everything from basics to enterprise Zero-Trust. 54 chapters of the kind of knowledge that usually takes years of production experience to accumulate. → pro.tecmint.com/ssh-complete-c…

Solved Bandit level 10 tonight, recorded it this time instead of just writing about it. Wrong tab, a couple of denied logins, then it clicked. #Linux #Devops #cloudcomputing #100daysofcode

2 weeks into learning Linux from zero. Finally beat a Bandit level on OverTheWire that had me stuck for way too long. Also working through Tech Apricate's free Linux for DevOps playlist. No fluff, just typing commands until they stick. Will be back to give more updates 😉😉😉

Not gonna lie, this one's harder to post than usual. Feed's full of cert badges lately, SOC-300, AZ-200, Solutions Architect. Half of them I don't even fully understand yet. Easy to feel like everyone's lapping me before I've started. Don't have this figured out either, still deep in that doubt some days. But Linux has been quietly proving something to me. Stuff that was pure memorization a few weeks ago is actually starting to click. No cert yet, but a terminal that doesn't scare me anymore. Some days that's enough. #CareerChange #Linux

Quick question: when someone says "my data is encrypted," encrypted when, exactly? Never really thought about it before. Turns out there's two answers. Data in transit: moving right now, from your device to the cloud. HTTPS and TLS handling that. Data at rest: just sitting there. In an S3 bucket, doing nothing, waiting. Two different moments. Two different jobs. But both hit the same problem eventually: someone has to hold the key that unlocks it all. That's the actual hard part. Not the math, that's already solved. AWS has a whole service for this called KMS. Azure has Key Vault. Google Cloud has its own version too. Strongest encryption in the world means nothing if someone gets that key.
