@s6_swfc @OwlsExtra I think the best we can do is contribute towards his wage to get rid of him. Any club that wants him, won’t be paying anything like what he’s on here. He’s sat on the best contract he will ever see.

But let’s say it’s 10k a week just to get shut we might have to pay half if the door is closed here (would you want him taking a squad number?) to move him on. A scenario the old owner couldn’t get his head round

@owl_s74 @MatthewCla94603 @ConnorMitch1867 Trouble is we have a striker that has done the square root of nothing for 2 years, sat on another 2 years worth of wages that he will never see again of anyone. We are under restrictions so we can’t pay him off. I think the best we can do is wage contribute to him leaving

It’s bad enough trying to offload a striker without a goal in 2 years, let alone an unfit one

@owl_s74 @ConnorMitch1867 Well if he is someone that can do two positions and he’s on 12k a week (a guess with reduction for going down) then you have to spend 6k a piece on a RB and CM, neither likely to be of the same quality. Calculated gamble says keep him, unless offered a decent fee

@ConnorMitch1867 We can’t get any authority on any deal without running it by the EFL. Same happened with Derby and Reading. I can’t believe we didn’t know what we could spend on fees, Wilson has to know this before he negotiates with anyone
