Of course, initiating the war in the first place was manifestly unconstitutional. But as Massie points out here, the war would be illegal even given the most expansive interpretation of presidential war powers. The sophistry of its defenders is as shameless as that of left-wingers who claim to find a right to abortion in the constitution.

Today, we have been at War with Iran for SIX MONTHS. The 1973 War Powers Act required Trump to withdraw forces within 90 days absent authorization from Congress. They ridiculously claimed to stop the war & restart new hostilities @ 91 days. We are past 180 days. End the War.

Joel, I gave you a Rosary a month or so ago. I totally understand your struggle with the Sacraments. I was born and raised Jewish and I struggled DEEPLY with Christ Himself at first, not even knowing what a Sacrament was. But then, through God’s freely given grace and me cooperating with Him, I came to believe that Jesus is His only begotten Son - the King of the Jews and King of the whole world. My King. Along the way, I read the Gospel of St. John, 6:53-59 specifically: So Jesus said to them, “Very truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day; 55 for my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. 56 Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever eats me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like that which your ancestors ate, and they died. But the one who eats this bread will live forever.” 59 He said these things while he was teaching in the synagogue at Capernaum” At first I couldn’t believe it, Jesus must have been speaking symbolically. But then I read how much the Apostles struggled with this exact and literal teaching. Jesus’s direct student, the ones who walked with Him, couldn’t comprehend how bread and wine becomes His Flesh and Blood. You are in AMAZING company for struggling with the Sacraments. Literally the best company to walk the earth, besides Our Lord. Once I unpacked this, learned that martyrs died for this Supernatural Bread, learned about Eucharistic Miracles… I had this urge to eat this bread of eternal life, the Flesh of of the Christ. Where do I get it from? Where are the people who believe that this bread is truly God, believing from the Last Supper up until today? If the Eucharist is True and truly the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord - then there is nothing more important to do in this physical life, than to consume and commune with Him in the Eucharist. And John 6:66 is equally heavy for a reason, since God doesn’t make mistakes: “Because of this many of his disciples turned back and no longer went about with him.” Praying for you Joel. Fall in love with Christ in the Eucharist and everything else is downstream of that (and doesn’t matter enough to keep you from it). For me, there is no earthly, temporal, apologetic or human error that would ever keep me from the Eucharist. Nothing else is more important. I pray that you will one day come to this Truth as well. Christ is there, waiting for you, in the Holy Eucharist 🙏

They are discussing using nuclear weapons on Iran in strategy meetings. Yes you read that correctly. It’s real. I’m not speculating, I know. And it’s pure evil. The last time a nuclear weapon was used was August 6th and 9th of 1945 on two cities in Japan, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, immediately killing 110,000 people, vaporizing people at ground zero, and total deaths reached 214,000 by the end of the year from severe burns and trauma. But the extreme suffering continued for the Japanese people from radiation sickness, skyrocketing cancer rates, and generational birth defects. Not to mention wiping out all means of their economy. And the suffering was so great that all of humanity vowed, “never again.” Trump and his admin were told by our own intelligence that Iran was no where near creating a nuclear weapon, then Israel said the same line it’s repeated for decades, “Iran is only weeks away.” So we bombed anyways, killed their leaders and innocent little children in a school, and Iran has controlled the Strait of Hormuz ever since and punished the region for their part in it. And now our government is the one actually discussing lowering the nuclear threshold in order to use nuclear weapons against Iran even though Trump claims he’s won the war like 40 times and says the U.S. controls the SoH. Trump promised no more foreign wars, but may actually be the one who delivers a nuclear holocaust that would likely drag the entire world into major conflict, economic depression, and mass human suffering we’ve never seen in our lifetimes and maybe throughout history. People need to speak out and boldly stop this insanity. America is not untouchable. If and when that happens, everyone, and I do mean everyone, will hold ALL of those in leadership right now fully responsible for the rest of human history. Do not use nuclear weapons and stop this war NOW.
