@librarycongress More information on "The Snapshot Store" at 108 West 40th Street in New York, which displayed Weidhaas' cat photos... that address, the World's Tower Building, was used by J. Romaine Brown in 1911, Coats Machine Tool Co., Inc. in the 1920s, and Eric Sobotka Co. in the 1960s.

@librarycongress This photo was taken by Adolph Edward Weidhaas, son of German-born Americans Otto Robert Weidhaas and Marie Hofmann. Adolph was born July 8, 1891 in Manhattan, New York City, New York. Married on May 26, 1923 to Elsie Rilla Hirst of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
