When I see this, my PTSD activates. It revolves around an industrial logging accident that nearly took my life in 2008. It shattered my world and left me with a disability that threatens to end my aspirations of continuing what I love: classics mechanic.
A guy asked if we could remove trees on his property he fell recently. This is basically what it looked like. I should get better at saying no. 🥹
@dlsportsnw I worked for Weyerhaeuser in Klawock, Alaska, as a fireman on a 1.5-megawatt generator rehab project back in the '80s. I also subbed as a heavy equipment mechanic for a chipping operation that fed them.

@williamconkel I accelerate the car to road speed and then apply firm braking pressure. If the car pulsates and the wheel shakes, the front rotors are warped. No special tools needed.
Job accomplished on this 2016 Jeep Cherokee. Just as I suspected, this thing has only ever had pad slaps because others tried and failed to get those E20 caliper bracket bolts out. I got it taken care of with new hardware, pads, and slotted rotors.
