Combines, grain carts, and trucks are moving. Slow down, give space, expect wide turns. Everyone gets home when we watch out for each other. #Harvest26 #FarmSafety #MNag #PlantPioneer

Wet Sept + mature crop + warm days = sprouting risk. Corn can sprout on the ear, beans in the pod. Check butt ends of upright ears, split pods and stalks, and harvest the worst fields first. Our Wet Fall Watch guide is attached. #harvest26 @PioneerSeeds

Week #2 Dry Down Study Average -.4% moisture **There was some artificial moisture added with the wet husks due to recent rain events. We would expect the corn moistures to fall significantly after the husks dry**

Every year seems to have a theme, it appears 2023 will be a rootworm year for much of my area. Photo of feeding on a hybrid without RW traits, planted following soybeans. See article for information on extended diapause pioneer.com/us/agronomy/ex…

If you didn’t find it in the Show Notes … Ashley shared a great illustration of how IDC is about much more than soil pH. Carbonates, Soluble Salts, Nitrates … and sprinkle in some SCN pressure .

Day 5 Soybean Frost Damage Recovery, the 2 lowest growing points are located just where the cotyledons meet the main stem. I peeled back the cotyledons to display the 2 stems that are now growing indicating survival. This is exactly why we wait for recovery before replanting.

There were a couple of rock star hybrids in the plot like this one. If you have many acres of Pioneer 1366Q you are going to be happy! Little to late for most in our area however...
