Cubs last night had their pack forum to discuss ideas for future programme activities. Climbing, swimming, cycling & grass sledging where just some of the ideas! We welcomed a few new young members to the unit, I hope you enjoyed it; we then finished of with dodge ball!

Both Beaver units this week started part one of their Disability Badge. First by understanding what disability is then learning the BSL alphabet and lastly taking a fellow Beaver around an obstacle course in a wheel chair. Well done all.
Scouts last night helped pack the camp kit, from the weekend, away back in storage; we also did our yearly You Shape discussion. Archery, rifle shooting, bug boarding and climbing came up; Glastonbury Festival was also mentioned! Hmmmm not sure about that one.
Scouts this weekend enjoyed a fun filled camp with some saw and knife skills, which they really took too; the main event though was the 12 mile mountain bike trek in the Forest of Dean. All thought is was brilliant!
Beaver return last Wednesday and helped with raising £110 for Macmillan with their coffee, tea and cake evening; they did really well. With all the money from all Scouting units the final total was over £385! Thank you to all parents for your support with this fundraiser.
Just wanted to say a big thank to the Scouts last night who with the help of their parents, managed to raise £175 for Macmillan; I do hope their coffees and teas were Ok! So with the Cubs money from Monday night the total so far is £275. Well done everyone!
Cubs returned for their first meeting back and helped raised funds for Macmillan by having a coffee evening for all their parents. All enjoyed the cakes on offer and managed to raise a £100; well done to you all!
A reminder this week to all parents of Beavers and Cubs, we are participating in our annual end of year Tubing session at the ski centre. See you all there.

Thursday Cubs were also on the search for Pokémon tonight. Following their own crazy path around the pokemonopoly board they managed to capture a few of them. Well done Cubs!
Scouts this week was run by a Senior Patrol Leaders, Patrol Leader and Assistant Patrol Leaders. A games night was order of the day including one of our favourites 'Capture the Flag'. Everyone had good time and well done to the young leaders for organising it so well!
They seek them here! They seek them there! Cubs are seeking Pokemon everywhere! Are they in the city? Or are they not! Or are the Cubs loosing the plot! Are they in a tower? Or up a Clock? These damn elusive Pokestops! Cubs having fun last night trying to catch Pokemon!
Both Beavers and Cubs this week are out on the hunt for Pokemon. They will go about their meeting nights trying to catch has many as possible of these elusive beings. Good Luck everyone!
Beaver this week were busy doing DIY using cordless; what possibly could go wrong! Cubs on other hand were trying out their horse riding skills by trying out the show jumping course set out for them. Well done everyone!
Scouts going crazy from last nights Wheels activity!
Scouts took part in a wheels night; bikes, scooters etc Safety first: helmets, hi vis, brakes etc. Then they each did a timed circuit: quickest bike - 21 secs; quickest scooter - 21 secs; quickest humans - 17 secs. Chaos ensued with circuit game! Well done everyone.
