@BCHwyPatrol I don't endorse street racing, but if I were in charge I would add a levy to car insurance in BC to fund more race tracks and race track maintenance. Everyone would benefit from the culture of "there's a place for that" which would come from making race tracks more accessible.

@Adam_Stirling The province is trying to consolidate power using special advisory takeovers and funding withdrawals., trying to fund their electoral war chest. They are looking for any excuse to do such things and seem to be paying the media to be complicit. I wonder how this situation relates

@Adam_Stirling The reason it's important is because it happened just weeks after the board was elected. So much for your point about SLO's not being part of their mandate; the reality is that they were following this advice, legally and justifiably. I hope the province gets sued hard for this!
@Adam_Stirling When real journalists put together a timeline, it doesn't just include all of the events that bolster their personal opinion. They tend to add important factors such as the Human Rights Commissioner asking for SLO programs to be cancelled in BC back in Nov 2022.
@willw @vicpdcanada Yes, they found a way out of funding schools, which involved having several First Nation reps attack the school board (even though they didn't do any consultation with parents and students of their nations beforehand.) Several nations wouldn't say if they did any consultation.
