So you’re aware, if you wear glasses, that’s an accessibility aid and you’re disabled. Glasses are just so normalized that most people don’t see it as such. Imagine if most aids were that way. Imagine how much more respect disabled people would get. It’s completely possible.

calling it a mental illness would imply that their biases are neurological, thus escaping accountability. it's a sociological issue & should be addressed w. extreme repercussions

racism should be considered a mental illness because why are you mad at someone's skin???

I only just found out Bruno Powroznik, creator of "MARGARET FATCHER IS DED" and "OBJECTS I AVE SHUVED UP MY ARSE" died in 2023 aged 60. This only became public knowledge in 2025 because he left no will and had no living relatives. Also he was probably transgender?

hey does anyone else also thinks its eerily coincidental that the moment women with autism and adhd start to get recognised and diagnosed we suddenly see a wave of people pushing this ‘over-diagnosis’ rhetoric

The fact that we've created the ability to make water-resistant phones like this enough to recover this sort of accidental footage is kinda crazy to me. I remember when dropping anything electronic in water would instantly destroy it.

While having fun on a boat, a man's phone fell into the sea when he wanted to record a video. The footage recorded by the phone at the bottom of the sea, however, drew attention.

I don’t give a fuck what anyone says I’m not changing the way I write or the words I use just because you think I should sound dumber or feel like my cadence is “cliche” like of course it’s cliche I grew up on 2010s tumblr, I’m gonna “oh. 𝘰𝘩.” as much as I damn well PLEASE.

this witch hunt on fics makes me paranoid bc im not about to dumb down my work just bc AI uses words such as “deliberate” and “unhurried” ??? it’s so fucking dystopian to be the one adjusting just bc AI is adapting, and it will keep adapting to the lexicon and pattern of humans

@lurkinglilacs -instead of location, upbringing, personal experiences and interpretations, other disorders like autism, and so on.) It's always just one underresearched thing leading to a bunch of other stuff being underresearched ughhh

@lurkinglilacs Yeah most use very small samples :( Because headmate count isn't usually considered important to treatment itself, it's just not something people record, which also means there's less knowledge in general (like only using age to see if there's a headcount difference-

Why do people think the reason people hate Rowling is just due to her opinions on trans rights when she is also a Holocaust denier and has included a lot of racial stereotypes in her books.

@lurkinglilacs *headcount We have noticed it's usually the same number repeated, but that the number seems to have increased in modern research. Imo, it correlates with those with 'high-functioning' CDDs being noticed more (though passes over non-clinical experiences like non-CDD systems)

@lurkinglilacs These are what we found with a quick search! The Handbook of Dissociation seemed to bring up a few different studies that included alter count, so you might be able to get more info from the references there ( drive.google.com/file/d/1V6B8kv… )

Guys, I begged a co-worker tonight to go to the ER and get seen. She refused. We laid on top of her car at the end of the shift begging her. She still said no. She had been throwing up and had arm pain. She went home, laid down to rest, and passed away.
