How do you cut through a metal partition to access an underground tunnel full of flammable methane gas caused by stagnant water? A flame cutter could not be used as this would cause sparks to fly with potential for explosion. The only other method was waterjet cutting.

HFL's Projects team led by Bill Dyer have recently installed 2no. 100kW boilers which will provide hot water and space heating to the pupils of this Warrington based secondary school.

HFL are pleased to be appointed the M&E maintenance contract at Lock 14, 44-49 Summer Row, Birmingham on behalf of Arden University. This property houses the newly refurbished 20,000 sq ft Arden University, Birmingham Campus.

It's been ten years since HFL installed solar panels on the roof of their Manchester HO. Over the 10 year period, the 316 sqm array has produced 417,500 kWh of electricity and have saved an estimated 226 tons of CO2 which would otherwise need roughly 10,200 trees to absorb.

HFL are delighted to have been awarded the M&E contract at Elevator Studios in Liverpool by Cert Property. Located in the heart of the Baltic Triangle, the 200 year-old Grade-II listed warehouses originally stored cargo and are now creative workspaces for artists and businesses.

HFL were called on to replace 4no. 200mm butterfly isolation valves in a 24-hour building with hotel and restaurants and was time sensitive. Steve Ekgren, Carlos Gomez and Jack Tidman worked an evening shift and completed this time sensitive job to ensure minimum disruption.

The HFL Projects team led by Bill Dyer have recently replaced a 30Kw chilled water pump feeding two Daikin rooftop chillers. The team had to overcome the issue of getting the pump into the plant room due to the weight of it, which was overcome by splitting the unit in two.

Following a competitive tender, HFL are delighted to have been awarded the maintenance contract at Cardiff University's recently purpose-built Centre for Student Life. The new building is a central hub for student support services & offers modern, flexible social learning spaces.

HFL are delighted to have been appointed the maintenance contractor at 1 East Parade in Sheffield by Fisher German. The Grade II listed office building is located in the Cathedral Quarter in the heart of the city.

HFL are pleased to have participated in the Hits Radio - Cash for Kids Charity Auction which raised a total of £6,581 at 18th October. Cash for Kids supports children and young people affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness and those who have additional needs.

HFL are delighted to have been awarded the Maintenance contract for Abacws, Cardiff University's new home for its Schools of Computer Science and Informatics and of Mathematics. The 10,000sq m building is a world class facility which recently completed in September 2021.
