𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 is officially moving to Wednesday July 21–Sunday July 25, 2027, a change requested by our venue. The theme: SMALL BATTLES with BIG IMPACTS! We’re spotlighting overlooked clashes that sparked turning points and reshaped history.
Jennifer Janofsky and Wade Catts uncovered the forgotten story of Red Bank’s lost Hessian burial, showing how archaeology and historical research restored voices long erased. At #historicon2026, their presentation challenged ideas of heroes and enemies and reshaped remembrance.
US Army Warcollege: Project Shadows and Steel had Jim Markley showcase how the US Army War College develops adaptable leaders through strategic thinking, historical analysis, and innovative projects preparing for tomorrow's challenges. #historicon2026
At #historicon2026, Todd Braisted brought history to life, revealing how nearly 50,000 Black and white Americans fought for King George in many roles during the Revolution. "The Good Americans" challenged familiar narratives and showed why it became America's first civil war.

Last night, HMGS gathered for the Legion of Honor In Memoriam Ceremony to honor Bob Kerstetter, Lou Zocchi, and Devon Start. Though they are gone, their legacy lives on in every game we play and every gamer they inspired. They will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Late‑war trench stalemate came alive at #historicon2026 as players fought for brutal yards of No Man’s Land against a formidable German system. Every advance felt costly, every crater a reminder of the futility of 1914–15. Robert Verga’s scenario delivered stark WWI tension.
The Battle of White Plains, Chatterton’s Hill recreated a pivotal American Revolution battle. Players fought as Washington rushed reinforcements to hold the line against a determined British flank attack at #historicon2026
Battle of Trenton 1776 recreated Washington’s famous Christmas attack on the Hessian garrison. Players fought to repeat the Continental Army’s historic victory or rewrite history with a British triumph at #historicon2026
A quiet Connecticut port turned tense as patriot forces gathered supplies for Washington’s Army while the British closed in to seize them. Players fought over every crate and street, turning the town into a sharp American clash. Jon Lundberg delivered the drama at #historicon2026
#historicon2026 came alive as Charlie Fastoso & Marks Games Room delivered a tense 2v2 showdown based on Avalon Hill’s 1954 Gettysburg. Strategy and timing ruled the gorgeous 6mm battlefield, where every move hit with classic old‑school wargaming intensity.
To Relieve Stalingrad recreated the desperate German attempt to break the encirclement of the 6th Army. Players fought over the vital crossroads at Verkhne-Kumskii as Soviet defenders resisted every advance at #historicon2026
This award‑winning Western table kicked up dust as David Hill & Your Hobby Place ran fast, no‑nonsense Test of Grit skirmishes. Players saddled up, drew iron, and dove into quick‑fire frontier showdowns across the massive setup pure wildwest chaos riding strong at #historicon2026
Battle of Montmirail recreated one of Napoleon’s brilliant Six Days Campaign victories. Players commanded French, Russian, and Prussian forces in a pivotal clash that tested leadership and battlefield tactics at #historicon2026
