A constituent asked me if I’d debate Pete Stauber before the primary. My answer was yes. Any time, any town in the district. So I put it in writing. On July 7 I sent the Congressman a formal invitation to debate before August 1, at a neutral venue with a local moderator, on his schedule. I asked for a response by July 20. I’m sharing the letter here because you deserve to know the offer was made. Voters in the 8th District haven’t had an in-person town hall with their Congressman in seven years. A debate would be a good place to start. Letter below. I’ll update you when I hear back, or when I don’t.

The Rules committee is NOT scheduled to include NDAA in the Rule next week. Rather than delete my tweet below, I’m leaving it up, because at some point House Leaders will bring the NDAA to the floor, and will likely bring it through the Rules committee. We just don’t know when.
