@tallfatherC Even the Qu'uran, which is the direct model of how one should behave and understand the world, is extremely high-context. That's why even today there exist many, many interpretations of the words. for example "people of the book" could also mean "followers of the Qu'ran"

@tallfatherC Islam believes that Muhammad was bestowed with the gift of literacy and wrote the entire Qu'uran through God's own words (dictated by Gabriel). It's known that Muhammad, Jesus, Moses, and others were not perfect because they were still human beings, albeit prophets

@tallfatherC A lot of it comes down to personal philosophy and faith. Whether the absence of sin is what makes someone worthy, or if redeeming yourself and learning from your mistakes is what makes you worthy No one can tell you which is which, or which has more value

@tallfatherC Reading history with a healthy dose of skepticism should definitely be the norm. If it were up to modern American history textbooks, then slavery and the plight of indigenous peoples would be relegated to a few paragraphs of text

@tallfatherC Consider that Islam states that Jesus claimed only to be a prophet, and was raised to heaven without crucifiction. This would then be considered contrary evidence.
