Advocate Mark Oppenheimer stood at a podium in Washington and walked through the moment Julius Malema looked a White farm-attack survivor in the eye and shrugged. During the AfriForum “Kill the Boer” litigation, Oppenheimer put the facts to Malema under oath. An elderly White farmer testified from a wheelchair. Attackers had burst in. A shotgun blast dropped his wife in front of him with a catastrophic head wound. The same blast tore through his own 10th thoracic vertebra and severed his spinal cord. He would never walk again. In court he broke down describing how the chant “Kill the Boer / Kill the farmer” still yanks him straight back to that room. Oppenheimer asked if that testimony, the murdered wife, the shattered spine, the tears, would make Malema stop singing it. Malema’s answer was, “No. I am not moved. Let me repeat five times. I’m not moved by that case you brought here. I am not moved. And if that will make me lose this case, let me lose it. I am not moved.” South Africa’s courts later decided the chant was not hate speech. Oppenheimer told the DC audience that is exactly why the fight had to leave those courtrooms and go international.

Look at all the negativity by the South African media today surrounding the White Cross Project by @LexLibertasOnX and how most of them want to tell you how you should care about ALL murders in this country. May I ask then why the very same media for the last week is only focusing on 10 murders over the last few months in the Kempton Park area instead of the thousands of murders that happened over the same period? See, anyone can play this dumb game. Do you see how idiotic this reasoning is? Allow these organisations that want to highlight farm murders to do so. No one is preventing any other organisation from holding a similar event for whatever victims they think deserve to be highlighted. It's once again the case of going after those who decide to do something and to attack, belittle and insult them instead of praising them for actually standing up and fighting for something. Most mainstream media outlets in this country are so cancerous, and South Africa would be a better place if they just went bankrupt and ceased to exist.
