@HippyMomPhD It’s okay for a child to want to individuate from their siblings. Encourage them to build their own skills because that’s how confidence grows. Remind them to only compare themselves to who they were yesterday. Let them shine on their own merit, not just participate in a group.

@Codie_Sanchez Sometimes, depending on the kid, you won’t have to set rules. You’ll just have clear communication and explanations of your reasoning, and can discuss the value of the guidelines you’re setting. It builds trust and responsibility.

@HippyMomPhD I know some homeschoolers who launched their own meat bird business with organic, pasture-raised chickens and turkeys. Even though they didn’t own any land, they persistently networked for months until they found someone willing to let them use their property.

After hearing that Elon Musk and the NASA Administrator were writing about antimatter propulsion, a 9th grader explained it to me in simple terms, with great detail, then struggled for a moment with a term, and said he’d need to look that part up. Ah, the Feynman technique.

@jennyrozelle If the business owner dies, and the spouse isn’t listed as a co-owner, wouldn’t the business cease operation and the passive income stop? I believe it’s a sole proprietorship - and can that type of business even have a co-owner? Ha
