In the parking lot, it wasn’t the media, but his wife, two sons, (he has a daughter too) and grandchildren that were important to him. I drove Tony and Shaye home, right next to the church. They didn’t waste anytime changing their clothes, and walking to church right next door. Hundreds of people greeted him as he showed up(church was started) and not one, from the youngest to the oldest, feared him. They knew, just as I do, that this is a man who loves them, loves God, and loves his family. I will not give more details on this case that is ongoing, but you should ask yourself why would a man who has devoted his life to serving others in ministry do what has been shown? When the dust settles on this case, you will see there is much more to this story. Please, at least wait for that to happen before you write him off as a violent man. He is not. But he is a man. The very kind of man you want protecting your sister, and your family."

I’m not sure if this guy was joking or not but I genuinely couldn’t believe what I was hearing. A migrant filming himself during a walk by a local river claimed that because he can’t buy halal duck in the UK, he would simply take one of the live ducks from a public park, take it home, and eat it. These ducks are part of our public parks and communities they are not there to be stolen, slaughtered, or treated as someone’s personal food supply. Respect for local laws, customs, wildlife and public spaces should be the bare minimum. What on earth is going on if people think this is acceptable behaviour?

We continue bringing Ukrainians home from Russian captivity. Today, 160 servicemembers were released from captivity. All of them had been held captive since 2022. Among those released today are servicemembers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Special Transport Service, National Guard warriors, and border guards. They defended Ukraine in Mariupol and at Azovstal, as well as in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy sectors. I thank our entire team, which works every day to bring our people back. Special gratitude to all our units on the frontline who replenish Ukraine’s “exchange fund” and, through their courage, make it possible for us to bring people home.
