Very impressed with Dan Rockmore's presentation of the Riemann Hypothesis in Stalking the Riemann Hypothesis. Controlled and lucid..
@jiannitien Finishing off A Profile in Mathematical Logic. Fascinating theory about how all types of systems function. Very language based.
@jiannitien Invention of Solitude: a graceful haunting of the interstices of self.
Thea Astley. Wonderful feminine voice.
A trilogy: John Barnes, Zinedine Zidane, Andres Iniesta.
Lawrence Durrell's Dark Labyrinth. As smooth and structured as any Pinot. Very underrated author.
Amis, Pregnant Widow @jiannitien
@jiannitien Here I am. I swam to the shore. Nice and sandy...
Roger Penrose's, Cycles of Time is excellent. In other books he goes from 0 to 50 in 10 pages then 50 -100 in 2. This one's alright.
Loving Radio National 576 on the Australian AM dial. We're not all horse rustlers. But i do like rustling. When I'm listening to the radio.
Godel's Proof by Newman and Nagel. Good stuff apparently some errors but very readable.
Never read anything like Godel, Escher, Bach by Hofstadter. Hope never to again. Interesting on computer theory but tries too hard on DNA
Have enjoyed Nahim's work, but Euler's Formula really founders at Fourier theory. Bolted on without true demonstration of importance.
Recommend: Howard de Long, profiles in Mathematical Logic.
i'm alive
@ZedVegas @MitchJohnson_25 still rubbish
ausvsa Wanting SA to become the lion of Test cricket. Lovely opportunistic killers, but not yet the premeditating murderers australia were.
ausvsa South Africa showing us they have everything... except the courage really to take the match and show the world they're undisputed.
ausvsa when Aus ruled, 3 day wins happened all the time. as pretty as this is, it's just not cricket
ausvsa let's be honest Aus should never be close at no2. How is this SA not not miles ahead in the rankings? Can't win fast. use the sword!
