@LA_Swiftness I would be very picky on door type/location. A roll up fleet door on the end of the building will give you the option to extend your cage out from the building to get full 70 feet while still staying within HOA building rules. Like this at a larger/nicer scale.

Prepped and ready for early sunsets in fall/winter. It’s a perfect 75 degrees at 7:00 but too dark too hit. Not anymore. Loving the test of the lighting setup. Now to get them mounted at height and staggered on both sides of the cage.

It took a little bit of work, but I finally figured out how to get a mobile instant replay setup. Whole thing runs on a single extension cord, only power draws are TV and iPhone charger. Now I can easily set up and tear down instant replay for backyard hitting sessions.

Not much in the way of shade in the new backyard. So I ordered 40’ of 50% shade lightweight cloth net and used bungie cords to run above my net. Hitters will have shade. Parents must fend for themselves.

Sometimes you need a better tool. Made good progress in round 1. Round 2 is today. Now that I’m equipped with my “lawn saw” that brush has no hope. I promise this will turn into a batting cage soon.

Be on the lookout for a backyard build progression coming soon. Have it on good authority that the grass in this backyard is 3ft tall, but will be transformed into a backyard baseball paradise.

Hey all, just wanted to share that we’re first time homeowners now. Somehow, in this market, we were able to get a house that fits our needs at a price that we will feel good about even if the market pulls back a little. AND THERE IS MORE YARD FOR A BETTER BATTING CAGE!!!!!!!

In baseball video games, you wait and tap the “A” button when it’s time to swing. In real life, you push and hold the “A” button to build your load. You RELEASE the button when it’s time to swing. Seeing several kids have💡moments after hearing this.

One last hurrah with the garage batting cage. This chunk of turf will end up in the backyard, but it sure looks beautiful filling up this space. Not pictured, the moment when my wife came out and caught me rolling around on it, just cause I wanted to.
