Dr. Tom Hopper has received an @AmerChemSociety Petroleum Research Fund (PRF) grant to push the boundaries of catalytic research! This award will support Dr. Hopper’s groundbreaking research project "All-Optical Field Modulation Spectroscopy of Energized Catalytic Interfaces."
Pump, dump, probe SLAC researchers imaged a molecule undergoing a coherently controlled reaction in real time, for the 1st time. Using ultrafast X-rays from our X-ray laser, they captured how atoms move in a molecule excited & programmed by laser light: stanford.io/4vwcMJe
