If we are to believe scripture re: suffering, we read Job. The parents did not have faith that a miracle would happen. The Lord giveth and the LORD taketh away. Not the parents.

@HowardsEnd2000 God had plenty of time to perform His healing miracle. The child suffered for his whole life. Seems more like God wanted him home, and thus he is home now. If God did not want this outcome, He would have changed it.
