English teachers should have an additional prep period for reading and providing feedback on student writing. It takes over 8 hours for a writing teacher with 100 students to read and respond to a typical set of essays - and that's assuming only 5 minutes per essay. #bfc530

@heymrsbond My own kids have stayed they dislike how their peers behave at school. They get frustrated and embarrassed by it. They want to do well and learn but some of their peers are not conducive to that.

@Gorkerina @missI_MFL I always let kids go (might ask if they can wait for a few min.)If it seems they are going often, I may loop in the nurse or parents because I’m concerned something is happening medically. I don’t like not being able to use the RR as needed, so I empathize with kids.

@wadobbie @CovingtonEDU People dislike my promotion for MS and HS having later start times. I know it screws lots of things up, but it would be a better environment for kids.

@sheriem24 I need to be comfortable when I teach, so I get pants at Costco. They have pull ins that are nice and not super expensive.

An LGBTQ person's existence is not a political or social issue. The confluence of Pride and sports is an opportunity to speak up and emphasize that EVERYONE is welcome. EVERYONE is loved. EVERYONE can boo a missed call. EVERYONE can cheer when the Cubs finally get a clutch hit.

@ItsAMrY @sage_stage When I had gestational diabetes, kids would ask to eat in my room all of the time and I always said no. They pushed back and I finally explained that was when I had to take my insulin shots. People should be respect others availability and boundaries.
