In Egypt and Algeria, we witness an exclusionary vision of community too; either through denial of minorities at all or recognizing only certain type of minorities such as religious minorities. The following quotation from an Egyptian respondent illustrates denial of minorities.
Concerns rise as majoritarian sentiments challenge minority rights in Turkey, Egypt, and Algeria. Notably, in Turkey, there's a growing opposition to immigrants and refugees, reflecting a reactionary perspective shaped by the country's social and political conditions.
Anti-elitism prevails, emphasizing the people's authentic power over elites, portraying them as susceptible to corruption and potential abuse of power. What role does this play in shaping political narratives?
