Binti felt a little derivative, but I see why it won so many prizes. Binti's voice comes in loud & clear throughout. Whatever qualms I had with the plot were squashed by how perfectly the author captured Binti's voice & wove it into a driver of the story. #writingcommunity

@MeloraJohnson I've only seen snippets of the 80s version that David Lynch directed, but I don't think it's aged very well. But I'm also not the biggest fan of Lynch's work, so maybe I'm biased.
