@agusofpare @inconnu0connu its not exclusive to this one letter, its moreso about silence regarding Philotheos' acceptance of the Union, none of the anti-Unionists spoke about this, they explicitly say the Patriarchs agree with them. And answer it for the Patriarch's profession
@agusofpare @inconnu0connu Have you read the articles atleast? and if you rely on this argument from silence, then use the same standard for the letter of Philotheus and the Profession of the Patriarch (its not cited at all during the remainder of the council).
@agusofpare @inconnu0connu I see you citing Gill often even for the synod of 1443, are you aware of the error he made? and are you aware of the slavonic manuscript which was translated from Greek to Slavonic in the same year (1443). Gill says its a 17th century forgery, which is wrong.

@John_markos_ Yup even Bessarion in his letter to Lascari says the phrase "let us make this supposition" is utterly contrary to the intention of Basil so it is inauthentic, and he says keeping it makes Basil contradict himself. Im not sure the reason for the english editors to change it
