@emeyorX Rhaena Targaryen (daughter of Aenys I) started the tradition of placing dragon eggs in Targ baby cradles. If the egg hatched, that was your dragon because the baby and dragon grew together. Rhaenyra’s egg hatched into Syrax. They only claimed dragons if their egg didn’t hatch.

@Daykerpriest The show made them have a more platonic friendly relationship. In the books, it was a purely political marriage. They were cousins and not very fond of each other and spent no time together. They also didn’t live at court during their marriage.

@Diviam_wiljon The Velayrons and Targaryens wed each other for generations because they were the only two families to survive the doom. Jahaerys I’s mother was a Velaryon and Aegon the conquerors mother was a Velaryon too.

@kirsti_kean @Daykerpriest Yeah and Alicents children are blonde when she isn’t a Targaryen. Just saying hair colour shouldn’t be a defining factor in doubting parentage. Rhaenyra’s first 3 kids are suspicious cuz both her and Laenor were blonde. But Targs having kids with a non-Targ can go either way.

@Ofcimcold I think season 2 was a lot more than 6 weeks of time. Aegon was bedridden with burns and broken bones and now he’s well enough to walk and run around. Seems like quite a gap.

@e_fosa08 The throne is empty with House Baratheon extinct sonCersei claimed the throne for herself. People didn’t challenge her because as far as anyone knew, she was the richest and most powerful person in the realm after inheriting Tywins titles and lands after his death.
