Still early in trading day, but TSLA finally staging upside reversal on massive volume coinciding with negative price cut headline…constructive action, but will it hold through end of day…
The Problem with TSLA IMO, the real reason why TSLA stock has been so weak on an absolute and relative basis is that there is and has been simply too much “hot” money in the stock for far too long and Mr. Market is correcting that situation.

Using 1994 aggressive rate hike cycle as possible precedent for current market. Early October 1994 pullback/shakeout to 50 DMA feels similar to current pullback/oversold levels. Looking for strong bounce from these levels before another retest.

There were some really good responses to my $AAPL question and I agree with many. The one I don’t think anyone addressed is longer replacement cycles. That seems like key risk to me. It’s big part of what got $DELL and $MSFT. It won’t just slow volume but also pressure price.
After the response to yesterday's $APPL thoughts, I went into the archives to look back at the 2000 leaders. 12 NASDAQ companies traded above $100B: $MSFT $CSCO $INTC $ORCL $ERIC $SUNW $WCOM $DELL $QCOM $YHOO $AMAT Let's look how they fared since.
Btw, $AOL and others not included as I specifically focused on Nasdaq names but you will find similar fates. So what's our conclusion? The semis did OK. Not great, but OK. None of them emerged as the next leader but there are helped by barriers to entry.
The remainder more failed than not. $MSFT completed the Hail Mary on cloud but they didn't retain their lead as a consumer brand. You would find similar lessons from the 70s or even back to RCA & Westinghouse. Tech leadership is very hard to maintain over a generation.
Someone tell my why $AAPL can't be the next Dell? I get it probably won't but tell my why it's impossible. The fundamental law of tech hardware leadership is it changes. It's conceivable $AAPL is < $200 20 years from now and more likely than most suspect.
Btw few things people who want to argue should know. 1) I'm not a tech investor. 2) I could be wrong. 3) I know my history & watched people fail badly in 01. 4) Many of the same arguments were made then. 5) Hardly any tech giants have transitioned successfully historically.
I guess I missed Ronde Barber made the Hall. How did that happen? This isn't the Hall of Very Good. Nobody game planned around Ronde Barber. That was Sapp and Brooks, even Simeon Rice. And no, Lynch isn't a HoF either. That D was led by the front 7 not the DBs.
